Discipling Operational Christians aka DOC Outreach

Discipling Operational Christians aka DOC Outreach In 2003 we began encouraging and supporting Christian life by discipling those incarcerated. Mentor D.O.C. We invest in a few to reach many. O. C.

Discipling Operational Christians – Outreach to Inmates exists to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to the least of these who are in jails and prisons. seeks to empower inmates to empower other inmates in the truth of Jesus Christ. We live this out by teaching and empowering a member in prison to disciple another man or woman inside the walls and wire. A variety of methods are utilized:

a month

ly newsletter, D. Deliverer
prisoner to prisoner mentoring
personal letters of exhortation, encouragement and support
bible study resources
sermons
bibles when needed
Outside Christian mentors
All who want a change in their lives are supported through encouragement, love and acceptance. We are not the only prison ministry yet we are different from most as we are a “personal ministry”. Personal letters develop bonds; one on one visits with a prisoner develop relationships within the body and develop trust and self-worth. Our desire is to let God lead us in teaching incarcerated men and women to build godly relationships; disciple and encourage one another and grow in their maturity as Christians as they become salt and light to other individuals in the prison system. This is the model Jesus left for us to follow; build three strand cord relationships with the marginalized, the disenfranchised, the outcasts, the broken and the lost. Show them the love of God who made the sacrifice for us. It does not matter what the crime; God’s grace is for EVERYONE. His love is beyond description. We pray His love flows through us to those inside the walls and those who are released as they too, learn how to love others. We ask you to pray and partner with us in this ‘blessed to be a blessing’ ministry.

Message from Director/C.E.O.: This has been a wonderful 20+ year journey that has come to an end. Through months of prayer, the decision was made to dissolve the ministry and discontinue the services that D.O.C. offers.
My stroke in March has disabled me in ways that make it impossible to continue to do all that is required in the office and is legally required by the State of California.
I have treasured the opportunity I’ve been given with so many of His children. He most assuredly has blessed me in ALL of this.

Member Allan Courtney was released and paroled to Victorville and because of prayer and his obedience to Jesus' Word, a miracle took place and he was given a 30 day pass to Sacramento (his support base is there) on his first report day at parole!
That pass was extended and is now a transfer to Sacramento County.
Some pictures of Anthony serving others.
And of his baptism at Verity Baptist Church his first day out of prison!

Access to information creates wisdom - consider this funding request. This LSA organization does an amazing job keeping information flowing to those incarcerated.

You can make a difference in the life of a California prisoner--maybe even save a life. Due to the CoVid crisis all activities in California state prisons, all activities, self-help groups, work assignemnts and even educational programs are shut down. Men and women, many of ...

Some of our members write some moving poetry. Here is one from Rocky Froemel/CCI/CA

Brand New Me
When in heaven
you will see
that I have changed dramatically
Now up there I’m told
my body will not
be so old
You will find
when I get there
all my skin will be quite fair
Not a wrinkle will be there
when you see
the brand new me
You will know me by my name
but my shape won’t be the same
For when I’m there on
heaven’s stage
I won’t change from age to age
For in heaven God will erase
all the tears off from my face
No more fingers wracked with pain
but my smile will remain
When you see
the brand new me!

We aren't good at posting here - and I apologize for that. We are good at maintaining mail relationships with hundreds of incarcerated men and women but that doesn't show up here very well. :-)
How about a testimony from a member who was incarcerated before he was 17, and has finally been given a 'way home' in about a year!
Kevin Lattanaphom/CA I thank God every day that I’ve been given a chance to become a better man. To be able to come into a relationship with my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I remember when I first started out trying to learn about fellowship & church. It was really difficult for me because of I was a very judgmental person. When I see those that would attend service's and afterward go back to living in flesh or the world as it is put today. By my attitude and mentality in walking was in contrary to the teaching. I myself were walking in the flesh when I was judging others. I repented and ask God to help me to understand that I may be able to comprehend His merciful & great 10ve. In this, I was given humility. I was humble by how prejudice I was toward others that I may have driven any and all of those wanting to come to know their Lord & Savior.
And of course, DeAnn gave me the answer I needed to confirm also that my behavior were wrong. And I admit, that it was hard to say "I am wrong", a lot of us are like that. But if we are lead by the Spirit and we walk in tune with the scriptures, and living the words each day, it is a substance to our spiritual self. Food for the soul, in other terms. Today as I attend service and bible studies, I try to listen to that voice (Holy Spirit) guiding me understand and minister those teaching in my everyday walk. To be humble in all circumstance & situation. No matter what position in life I'm in and always let God words do my talking. I am being release in about 11-months after doing almost 25 years. With love in Christ Jesus, God Bless!!!

LSA does and has done an excellent job of working with CDCR for Lifers. They keep us informed, work Looooong hours, and say it like it is. Applause, applause. You are all amazing over there at LSA.

A few days ago I sort of went ballistic on FB and in email, after posting figures about the CoVid response from CDCR and being castigated by several individuals for being anything from naive for believing CDCR to being a 'stooge' for CDCR. And again, today, after posting the latest reports, I'm floo...
