Thank you so much to Emma our farrier Elvis's hooves look great now after a few trims. Not only that but he was not even drugged. He is learning to trust her and know she is not going to jack his legs up and she works with him. I know he feels so much better. When he was returned to us his feet here overgrown, curved and in general really bad shape. Look at him now :)

I hate to ask but whomever ordered the donkey fly mask please message me. The ears are too small for Elvis so I want to return it for the next size up. I can’t do that on my end so I need your help 🥰

Thank you to whomever sent these from our Amazon list. It truly helps us and means even more that people care to do it 🥰. Elvis can no ditch the horse fly mask and have his own donkey one with ears for all respectable donkeys ! He is Elvis after all

This morning we switched it up. Wendy worked Boone again which is showing things that at one time he had some good training as far as ground. Wendy is so good with him , he is coming out of his shell. The. Wendy did some Liberty with Pistol 😳. I did some Liberty with R***r and Slyboy. Slyboy will be going to under saddle training in September but u til then we are continuing his Liberty work. Part of his saddle training will include Liberty also. When he goes to training we will be taking pistol and R***r to Liberty training and by that time Pistol and Wendy will be advancing. We don’t know if pistol can be put under saddle yet so continuing on with her Liberty and in- hand skills is best.

First one is mineral all the boys get second picture is the mares ( it supplies everything they need and extra ). They also have their mineral rocks in each paddock. Between that 1 lb ground flax and dac oil they all are drinking great and looking great . Yes I am a color codes person 😂

What do we feed to keep the horses looking and feeling good ? ( ok some are a little chubby 😱). Mustangs ( Pistol, R***r, Slyboy and Grace) get 1 small cup of whole oats, 1 small cup of ground flax ,small scoop of minerals ( from potato patch - ty Caitlin) 1 once dac bloom oil and 4 flakes coastal hay in slow feeder net ( each) at night they only get 4 flakes coastal hay again. White ( the mini) gets 1/4 whole oats, 1/4 cup ground flax,minerals and dap of oil , 2 flakes of hay morning and night.
Wander and Boone get 1.5 cups of steamed rolled oats, 1 cup of ground flax, minerals, 1 once dac bloom oil , 2 big flakes of Orchard hay each in slow feeder bag. NIGHT : they get samething plus soaked alfalfa pellets added.
Elvis morning gets 1 cup steamed rolled oats, 1 cup ground flax, minerals, 1 ounce dac bloom oil and 2 flakes coastal ( no slow feeder bag he hates them 🤣). NIGHT same thing plus soaked alfalfa pellets added.
How many people noticed the Mustangs & mini only get “fed” once a day but get hay twice a day? How many notice the mustangs & mini are my tubby babies 😂.

Yesterday myself and Wendy Lopez went to Bridging the Gap Horsemanship and took a liberty lesson from Lauren Barwick. We took Pistol and Slyboy and we both had fun and learned a lot that we will be practicing until our next lesson. She explains it so well and helps demonstrating. They are really close to our rescue which surprised me. A friend of ours had a horse worked with by her husband under saddle and was really impressed. All the horses on the property looked great including 7 or 8 kill pen horses they went to Texas (way before the screw worm ) to get to help/ re-train and rehome. I forgot to get pictures ! next time :)
