Imagine rescuing abused and neglected horses…

Loving them back to health…

And then giving children the opportunity to create such magical bonds with them.

That’s what our Kids Program offers.

🐎Giving homeschooled children the opportunity to learn proper horse safety, handling, care, and riding.

🐎Pairing our miniatures to work with kids on the autism spectrum.

🐎Riding lessons on our full sized horses.

This precious 12-year-old miniature is named Winter. ❄️

Right before she arrived to Royal Blessings Rescue, she was severely emaciated, foundered -(due to a vaginal infection) and had been nursing a foal.

Her teeth were one of the worst cases our vet had seen. 😔

Foundered is a painful, severe condition in which the sensitive tissues inside the hook become inflamed and damaged.

This causes the internal coffin bone to rotate or sink downward.

It is a severe condition - a lot of the time irreversible.

That didn’t stop us for taking her in.

Her feet were treated right away and she had no souls on her front feet.

The recovery for that is 1-2 years.

Because of the continuous care Winter will need, she is a permanent resident at Blessings Rescue.

She has a long way to go in her recovery but she already is looking great and her personality is so amazing.

You can see how playful she is - as she peeks out from the plants.

Meet Tilly.

She’s a 7-year-old palomino mare.

She arrived in a trailer with other miniature horses - from a hoard situation in Levy County.

She was severely emaciated (as you can see in the first clip) and had major hoof and teeth problems.

The rest of the miniature horses on the farm had already passed away. 💔

She was one of the ones that made it out alive.

She now lives her life, healthy and happy, at Royal Blessings Rescue.

We rely heavily on the support of our community to help us care for the animals that come to us.

Hello! This is Grace. 🐎

She is an 18-year-old Quarter horse that arrived to Royal Blessings Rescue after having been abandoned at a farm.

She was abandoned with sores on her legs and left to try and survive in her own.

We helped her heal her sores and come back to a healthy weight.

Veterinarian Residents at The Chi Institute used acupuncture and spinal manipulation to help her.

Grace now spends her days as part of our Kids Program. 💜

Your horses 💩 can tell you a lot about their health.

(Just like with humans! 🤪)

Here are 3 things to look for:

1️⃣ Color. What your horse eats will affect the color of his manure. Healthy colors range from shades or green, brown, brownish-red, and grey.

🚩Red or bloody manure or a yellowish-coated color is a sign for concern and should be attended to immediately.

2️⃣ Consistency. A healthy pile of manure is moist but not too wet or runny. And the manure is shaped in the size of f***l balls that make up a pile.

🚩If your horse has frequent cowpiles (softer piles of manure) or has them during unusual times, it may be a sign of an upset gastrointestinal system.

🚩Dry, hard stool can also indicate dehydration.

3️⃣ Control. Your horse should 💩 , on average 6-10 times per day. It’s common for it to be more often if he is a stallion or foal.
