On May 8, 2013, just 5 days after I was adopted by Shutter the Wonder Mutt, we were together at the studio and I had just finished with a client. Shutter had spent the day running around as fast as his little legs would take him and chewing on the plastic tips of my shoe laces.

While my equipment was till setup I was determined to get some photos of him while he was little as I knew he wouldn't be little for long. I got out a small folding table I had often used for photographing products for clients. The table stood about two feet off the ground and fearing he might wander off, fall and hurt himself, I had purchased this small basket to contain his little body and hopefully his seemingly abundance of energy.

He did really good, he was quite the poser even at just 8 weeks old. Two years later I recreated the photos from that day. Shutter had long since out grown it. But having these comparison photos was something quite special to me.

Shutter is 13 now and still the center of this household and all things revolve around him. I treasure every moment we have together. He doesn't run as fast as he once did and his vision isn't what it once was, but he's still the same sweet, smart, bossy, spoiled guy he's always been. And I love him with all my heart.

Yesterday I noticed Mr. Dex rubbing his eyes and they had some gunkies in them. I cleaned them with a warm wash cloth but he kept rubbing them and they kept getting gunkie. I suspected little man might have a pollen allergy. I cleaned them again and gave him half a Benadryl. Yup, within a few hours it cleared right up. He feels so much better.
