LEEF grant in action!

Thank you, Milea Sarap, for your grant submission and bringing such an amazing opportunity to our LE students!

Thank you once again for financially supporting our LEGO activities at Logan Elm. We had 140 students participate in the Lego Club this year! It really is amazing to see 36% of our 3rd-5th graders choosing to stay after school for this club. They are learning to be creative, to cooperate with partners, and to make their builds interactive. We had such a good time!

Lego Challenge Day was a success again as well. We had 90 students compete this year! Students built a "fantasy town" and were judged on their creativity, complexity, functionality and explanations to the judges. This event brings our community together for a fun day, and I had several parents tell me how glad they are that we offer this event at Logan Elm.

We cannot do enough to keep our students interested in the fast-paced world of STEAM education. Legos are high-interest tools we can use to tap into that world. Thank you again for your continued support.

LEEF recently provided a grant to help fund classroom hands on task bins. These bins are already in action helping to provide independent tasks for students! Thank you, Dawn Arledge and Sarah Gaskell for your grant submission! ❤️🖤

These LE Braves enjoyed a field trip to Village Cafe in Laurelville where they practiced key life skills they will apply to real world scenarios. Thank you, Dawn Arledge, for submitting this grant request to LEEF!
