Our home's will effectively meet the needs of children, their primary families, and their foster families with respect to personal dignity and worth of each member. We will advocate for each child's rights, encourage personal development, and embrace diversity. We will provide an environment focused on accountability, structured for individual needs, and the betterment and safety of each child. We offer pre-adoptive infant and family foster care, treatment foster care, independent living skills training, and respite care.

What Inspired Amanda to Foster?
Amanda's foster care journey began with a simple but powerful belief:
"Every child deserves stability, love, and a safe place to call home."
For Amanda, helping children and families was never just an interest. It was a calling.
"As a woman of faith, I felt called to serve children and families in a meaningful way. Foster care became more than an opportunity to help. It became a ministry."
That calling has now spanned more than 15 years, during which Amanda has built lasting connections with children and families, provided stability during difficult seasons, and welcomed four children into her forever family through adoption.

When The Brewers decided to become foster parents, their goal was simple but powerful: to be a safe place for children while their parents worked their case plan.
Foster care isn't about replacing families. It's about providing children with stability, love, and support during a difficult season while helping families move toward reunification.

🍎 Happy World Teachers' Day! 🍎

Today we're celebrating the educators who help children learn, grow, and believe in themselves.

For children in foster care, teachers often provide so much more than academic instruction. They offer consistency, encouragement, understanding, and support during times of change.

At A New Leaf, we are grateful for the educators who partner with families, caregivers, and child welfare professionals to help children succeed both in and out of the classroom.

❌ MYTH: You have to be an expert in foster care before you can become a foster parent.

✅ FACT: Every foster parent was new once.

One of our foster families recently shared that their journey began because a friend encouraged them to take the first step.

When asked what fostering has meant to their family, they answered with three simple words:

❤️ Love
❤️Compassion
❤️Caring

And when asked what they would tell someone considering foster care, their advice was simple:

"Get ready for a new adventure."

The truth is, no one begins fostering with all the answers. Foster parents learn and grow along the way, supported by training, agency staff, and a community that walks beside them.

What matters most isn't having everything figured out. What matters is having the willingness to open your heart to a child who needs care, stability, and support.
