A great start to our summer meetings last night. We had scouts working on completing merit badge requirements, rank requirements and even boards of review!

Congratulations to Emmett and Nicholas for earning their Scout rank! You are off to a great start on your scouting trail.

Congratulations to Emma, Alex & Ian for earning their Life rank. We are so proud of your hard work and determination to get to this point in your scouting journey.

Last weekend, we got to celebrate and award one of our scouts with the rank of Eagle. It is always so great to see the work that our scouts put into working for their ranks as well as all the adult support they receive from fellow units and scouters.

A Conservation project opportunity!

This month’s campout was spent at Anderson Scout Camp. The weather was beautiful at camp, great for being outdoors. We hiked down to the trading post (and back up to our cabin), hiked the presidential trail, worked on merit badges, & enjoyed the views overlooking the river from the cabin. A great time was had working on scouting requirements while trying not to get too muddy!

Recent news articles regarding an announcement by the Secretary of War about a new memorandum of understanding with Scouting America have understandably raised questions across the Scouting community. You may have seen reports suggesting significant programmatic changes tied to compliance with Executive Order 14173. As is often the case with breaking news of this nature, information comes from multiple sources, and not all of it is consistent. We recognize that uncertainty can be unsettling for families and volunteers who simply want clarity about what this means for their Scouts.

We want to be clear: Northern Star Scouting and Scouting America will continue to welcome and serve all youth. Our commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and character-building program for every young person remains steadfast and unchanged.

This weekend, Troop 65 got to celebrate a great accomplishment. It was court of honor for one of our scouts that has earned the rank of Eagle. Congratulations Rachel, we are so proud of you and all of your hard work.

Today, Troop 65 gave back to our charter partner serving lunch after their annual meeting.

Last week, we welcomed some Arrow of Light scouts to our meeting. It was a great time meeting scouts from another unit as well as playing some board games.
