Furry Feature of the Week – Tyson!

Meet Tyson! Tyson is a handsome 2-year-old Shepherd mix weighing around 56 pounds, and he’s still figuring out what all this new life is about. He came to us from a county shelter and, while he can be a little timid at first, his sweet personality is starting to shine through as he gets more comfortable.

Tyson is good with other dogs and seems to enjoy having some four-legged friends around. He could use a little help filling out his Shepherd frame, so we’re working on getting some healthy weight on him while he settles in.

Give Tyson a little time, patience, and some gentle encouragement, and we think you’ll have a pretty special companion on your hands. He’s not the guy who’s going to walk into a room and immediately demand the spotlight—he’s more of a “let me get to know you first” kind of guy. And honestly, those are some of the best relationships. Having another dog in the house may help him feel more comfortable!

Tyson is ready for someone who will give him the time he needs to feel safe, build his confidence, and discover just how good life can be. If you think Tyson is the addition you’re looking for, come and meet him today!

Furry Feature of the Week – Mouse!

Meet Mouse! You guessed it—Mouse is an adorable little gray girl with a petite stature and a little white patch on her chest. She fits her name perfectly!

Mouse was rescued from a TNR site after having her second litter of kittens. We knew it was time to break the cycle and give this sweet mama a chance at a better life. When she first arrived at our shelter, Mouse was understandably shy. She had spent her life outside, fending for herself and caring for her family, so she wasn't accustomed to human touch, attention, or the comforts of indoor life. But with time, patience, and lots of love from her BFF, Mouse has discovered that the indoor life is definitely the best life!

While she's still a little shy when meeting new people, once she gets to know you, this petite gray girl transforms into an enormous flirt. She'll follow you around, hop up beside you, and turn into a roly-poly bundle of cuteness as she begs for attention. Watching her come out of her shell is absolutely adorable.

Mouse gets along well with other cats, but she could also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. She isn't a fan of being picked up, so she'd do best in a calm, patient household where she can take her time settling in and build a trusting relationship with her people.

Mouse may be petite, but she has a BIG personality packed into that tiny gray body! If you're looking for a darling little lady with adorable looks, a playful spirit, and an irresistible demeanor, you simply must meet Mouse since she's ready to charm her way into your heart! DOB: 1/2024

Furry Feature of the Week – Chopper!

Meet Chopper! Chopper is a magnificent black kitty with a sleek coat, accented with white whiskers and white paws. He came to us as a rescued neighborhood stray, having sustained some injuries to his leg and paw. After medical care and all his protocols, this incredible boy is ready to be yours.

Chopper gets along just fine with the kitty mates in his large room, and after getting to know our loving volunteers, he has learned that head rubs and pets are what a kitty lives for. This once shy boy now seeks attention, and enjoys spending quality quiet time in low key encounters. If you have a bit of patience to let him settle in, he will remain a loyal companion forever!
