Hi, all! Electric Mayhem used a STEM Grant to buy 60 XRP robots. These are small robots that can be programmed in Blocks, Python and Java. We are giving 2 robots to every FTC and FRC team in the BFF and we will also give one to every FLL team that wants one. The Goal of funding and distributing these robots is to help all the BFF teams get better at programming. These robots are versatile and cheap enough to send home with budding programmers over the summer to build up their skills! FTC BFFs- Electric Mayhem has a full FTC field set up at the Buffalo Science Museum. Come play with us! 12-4 on Saturdays and Sundays from June 1 -June 15.

Today was the 8th Annual Mayhem in May FTC Scrimmage in Buffalo. The BFF teams that played today were: the Electric Mayhem teams, The Buff Sci teams and Rust Belt Robotics. We also had Oncoming Storm come out from Rochester and the Underboss came up from Corning! It was a great day.

FTC teams: Come join us for our annual FTC Scrimmage: Mayhem in May. This year we are doing the Event at Buff Sci, where we held the Regional Qualifier. The event is May 25, from 10-4. Electric Mayhem, Based out of Nichols School, is running two FIRST Robotics camps again this summer. Students from other teams are welcome to sign up for the camp and learn new skills along side the Electric Mayhem Crew.

Hi, all.

This summer we are offering 2 FIRST Robotics Camps again. Last year both camps filled up, so register early! These camps are open to the whole community, not just Nichols students.

June 23-27: FLL Camp.

This 1-week camp is for students in grades 4-8 that want to learn how to build and program Lego Spike Robots. This camp is facilitated by one of our Team Mentors and several high school robotics students.

July 7-18. FTC Camp

This 2-week camp is for students in grades 6-11 that want to learn how to build and program 40 pound robots. Students will have the opportunity to learn Design, Manufacturing and Programming Techniques. On the last day of the camp we invite the campers' families to come in and watch the robots compete against each other. This camp is facilitated by one of our Team Mentors and several high school robotics students.

Today was our first FTC Community Build Day of the season. Electric Mayhem Green & White were joined by BEAM Robotics and the Alden Knights. All 4 teams made a lot of progress on their robots, and had lunch together. We are all playing at the Penfield Qualifier on December 8th.

Electric Mayhem is hosting an FTC Community Day at Nichols on Saturday, November 23rd from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Food will be provided. If your robot still needs work, you can work on it in our lab. If your robot is ready for programming or drive practice, you can use our field. Maybe we can get some practice matches in too. Let us know if your team is going to come so that we can get enough food. thanks!
