was established in 2014 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity in order to provide ongoing, practical programs to strengthen marriages and families. The tools for the current program, The Third Option are fundamentally practical and useful for any couple from any religion or background. Though the primary focus of The Marriage School is practical and skill-based, we believe that the skills in marriage are intricately linked to the innermost workings of the heart. We often see that the practice of these skills pushes us to the limit of our human will, determination and character. Marriage was created by God (Genesis 1 and 2)
2. That everyone encounters problems in marriage (Genesis 3)
3. That God's desire is for reconciliation with Him and one another (Genesis 3 to Revelation 22)

Gary and Jan Toft married in the 1970s, both under 20, and raised three children through rotating shifts, weekly travel, and ministry. Just before their 50th anniversary, the stress led to a separation. Jan’s counselor referred them to The Marriage School, and they began attending weekly. They learned to understand and honor their differences, and a deeper love began to bloom. Today they volunteer to serve other couples.

The Men’s Retreat was a success! One participant shared: “This retreat had a particularly powerful impact on me. Even though I was exhausted, I felt spiritually refreshed, I have a renewed hunger for His Word and sense that some weights have come off.”

Celebration, exhortation, tears, and laughter all had a place. It’s just great when guys get together and pursue the Lord! On November 14th, the men will gather again for a retreat reunion to reflect on the month since the retreat, check in with one another, and pray over each person.
