Pedestrian safety starts with all of us! Whether you're headed to work, school, or out for a walk, take a moment to stay alert and make safe choices. A few extra seconds of caution can save a life.

✅ Cross at marked crosswalks

✅ Make eye contact with drivers and wait for a complete stop before crossing

✅ Walk with a buddy. Children under 10 should not cross the street alone!
✅ Wait for the "Walk" signal before crossing.
✅ Walk, don't run, and stay alert for traffic.
✅ Always look both ways, especially near school buses.

Back Seat = Best Seat!

Did you know? All children under 13 should ride buckled up in the back seat. Front-seat airbags are designed for adults and can be dangerous for kids. When your child is ready for a booster, keep using it until the seat belt fits correctly across the shoulder and upper thighs, not the neck or stomach.

💡 Perform the "5-Step Seat Belt Test" before graduating from a booster seat to make sure the seat belt fits properly.

Can you find the lower anchors? Lower anchors are often hidden where the seat back and seat cushion meet. Check your vehicle owner’s manual and look for the lower anchor symbol to make car seat installation easier and safer!

Use the tether on forward-facing car seats. Securing the tether is an essential step when installing a forward-facing car seat. It prevents the car seat from moving forward in a crash and may prevent head injury. Read your vehicle owner’s manual to find the correct tether anchor location.
