Donations always welcome, please call for information The Westfed Food Pantry, founded in 1997, is a cooperative effort of six Westwood/Cheviot area churches, including Cheviot United Methodist, Christ Fellowship, Grace Lutheran, St. Our mission is to respond to the needs of our brothers and sisters in the Western Hills Community by providing scheduled distribution of non-perishable foods, personal hygiene and cleansing products in the name of Jesus Christ. The Pantry is located on the west side of Cincinnati in an out building of Grace Lutheran Church. Westfed Pantry shelves are stocked by donations. Approximately 1/4 of donations are items collected monthly from the participating churches as well as annual area food drives. The other supplies needed are purchased with monetary donations given from members and committees of area churches, corporate gifts, and contributions from the community. The Pantry is serviced by dedicated volunteers of the parishes that purchase, sort, shelve, then pack and distribute the food and other items.

SNAP funding could face a major shake-up at the end of September unless Congress passes a resolution to delay major changes included in H.R. 1, commonly known as the GOP's One Big Beautiful Bill.

Starting Oct. 1, states will have to pick up 75% of the administrative costs of running the program, with the funding burden of providing benefits to participants set to shift from the federal to state level over the next few years.
