GOOD NEWS PUPPETEERS! The deadline to apply for the SHOW OF HANDS Puppet Cabaret on Oct 10th has EXTENDED to Friday, Sept 4th. Calling all puppeteers, burlesque performers, and freaky experimental performance artists! Never performed in a slam before? WE DARE YOU TO MAKE THIS YOUR YEAR!

Apply to be a part of the sexiest, grossest, and most absurd ADULTS ONLY Puppet Cabaret on this side of the Mill Creek. All acts must contain a handmade puppet or object and be 5 minutes or less. Complete the form in our bio to submit your application DUE Sept 9th. Submissions will be reviewed and juried by Visionaries + Voices artists and staff, and notified by Sept 11th.

Join us on Saturday, Aug 29th from 1-3pm, for a workshop on Upcycled Puppetry with Zoë Peterson + Savannah Martin at V+V Northside Studio. Together we will create puppets out of found materials and bring them to life through crafting and characterization! We'll be building these puppets using “trash”- think cardboard, scrap fabric, etc. and they can range from shadow puppets to more traditional, hand puppet styles.

If you have no experience - never fear! You’ll be guided throughout the entire design and building process. Now, who’s ready to bring their creations to life?
