Our amazing Public Allies are out at the Kirby Nature Center today, rolling up their sleeves to create a brand-new trail in the preserve!

At Public Allies, we believe true leadership means leaving a place better than you found it. By caring for our environment, we are caring for each other. This new trail will give local families a beautiful, safe place to connect with nature for years to come.

Our team isn't just building a path through the woods—they are building paths for our community. 🌲💚

❤️ One free choice. A full circle of impact for Cincinnati’s youth.

Public Allies Cincinnati is officially joining the challenge to raise the level of mental health training, awareness, and support for the youth in our city.

We have until June 30th to unlock a 💲5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ grant from Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation and Interact for Health. They don't want your money—they just need 2️⃣ hours of your time ⏰ to help us build a safer community network.

Here’s how a two-hour commitment creates a double impact:

💻 Impact 1 (Right Now): You (or a young adult aged 15–24) complete a FREE, online youth mental health peer-support certificate.

💵 Impact 2 (The Future): The moment you finish, the foundations donate 💲2️⃣5️⃣ directly to Public Allies Cincinnati to fund our local young adult leadership programs (ages 18–30).

We are currently at 5️⃣ out of 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ completions.

It costs you 💲0️⃣ but it protects our youth and funds our city's future leaders. Let's close the circle, Cincinnati.

Yesterday, we headed over to the Cincinnati Chamber’s Volunteer & Engagement Fair at the CityLink Center, and it was a powerful reminder of why we do this work.

It was incredible to see our Allies right in the thick of it, representing their partner organizations with such passion. Seeing them engage with the community and recruit new volunteers is the perfect example of capacity building in action. They aren't just filling a seat; they are actively expanding the reach and impact of the organizations they serve. 📈

As champions of their journey, the highlight for us was seeing that personal evolution in real-time. We saw Allies leaning into their "stretch zone," stepping out of their comfort shells to lead conversations and share their missions with confidence. Watching that professional growth and shift in leadership is what this journey is all about.

Last weekend was incredible at the Closing the Health Gap Expo! 🍎✨

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to our amazing partners at the Center for Closing the Health Gap for inviting us to be part of such a vital event. Their commitment to health equity in Cincinnati is inspiring, and we are proud to stand alongside them in building a stronger, healthier community.

Our team loved the energy at our booth! We spent the day:

• Connecting with neighbors and local leaders.
• Discussing how leadership and community health go hand-in-hand.
• Sharing how the Public Allies program transforms passion into a career of service.

We’re still buzzing from the 2026 Neighborhood Summit! Our Public Allies and Alumni took the stage to lead a powerhouse session on building leadership pipelines for civic engagement.

It wasn't just a panel; it was a masterclass in how we empower the next generation of neighborhood change-makers. Seeing our Alumni share their journey from "Allies" to "Leaders" reminded us exactly why this work is so vital.

We have joined the National Movement to “Tear the Paper Ceiling”! Over the last 40 years, the wage gap between STARs (Skilled Through Alternative Routes) and workers with bachelor’s degrees has doubled. STARs’ exclusion hurts businesses too, artificially limiting their talent pool. We are here along with many other organizations to close that gap.

This national campaign calls on us all to remove the barriers blocking 50% of workers in the U.S. from accessing equitable job opportunities.

Public Allies Cincy came out to support Hopeful Empowered Youth at their showcase this evening! Shout to one of allies placed at HEY! this year for helping with the event this evening!!! Such talent in Cincinnati’s youth… we need to keep tapping into their knowledge and teaching them the skills that elevate their voice, activate their agency and increase youth community engagement. What a great event!!
