Kris the cheetah has officially graduated from physical therapy!! 👏 🎉 She is doing well and loves her time in the large yard! Her care team will still continue physical therapy even though she is technically graduated, as it helps with her strength and coordination as she ages.

This is a Sihek (Guam kingfisher) egg being candled, a process that allows our bird team to monitor development before the chick hatches. Every egg is incredibly important for this species, which is extinct in the wild.
Thanks to the dedication of accredited zoos and conservation partners around the world, Siheks have been safeguarded through a conservation breeding program for decades. Now, those efforts are helping make history. In 2024, Siheks were released into the wild for the first time since disappearing from Guam, an important step toward restoring this species to its native ecosystem.
Every chick represents hope for the future of a bird that was once lost from the wild.
