We're weeks removed from the traumatic & dramatic flood events that left so many Hyde Park, Oakley & Mt. Lookout businesses & residents reeling.

The initial support has been incredible...but, these businesses and neighborhoods will need months of continued love & patronage to rebound. We hope you'll join us in the square today & in the surrounding neighborhoods every weekend until these Mom & Pop businesses are back on their feet!

Do NOT demolish this beautiful building! Build AROUND it and keep the Square the Square! !

Is PLK Communities’ new plan any better? No, it’s actually MUCH worse. Now they want to demolish the fully-leased, architecturally significant, 1915 Peebles Building, so they can build a bigger generic box that is STILL 6 stories tall (50% over what zoning permits), and STILL almost a whole city block long. How is this “listening to what the community has asked for?

And the building’s four 2-3 bedroom apartments rent for less than $2k - which technically makes them “affordable housing”. This is what the City needs MORE of not LESS! How is this better?
