We here at the Institute extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Liz Bonis Local 12 News as they mourn her passing during this time. Liz was the first media reporter to pick up our story about Launch Weekend back in 2024 and was a true delight to work with. She also did a special segment by herself on our work because she believed that all should be healed from Trauma and its terrible impact. Rest well, you made our community healthier while you battled your own challenges. You will always be remembered and cherished. 💔🕊️

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Black Nurses Association of Greater Cincinnati’s Pre-Derby Luncheon. Your presence truly made the event special.

A heartfelt thank you to P. Ann Everson-Price for serving as our incredible MC—her wit, humor, and engaging presence brought so much energy to the room. We’re excited to share that she will also be returning as MC for our annual fundraiser on October 10th!

We were equally honored to have our phenomenal keynote speaker, Camisha A. Chambers-Stith, who delivered a powerful message on the importance of gathering and fellowship. She also left us with meaningful tools to help relax and regulate our nervous systems.

What a truly uplifting and impactful afternoon!

Our first intergenerational music-infused art therapy session went off INCREDIBLY well!! Special thanks to our partner, Pastor Piphus and Zion Global Ministries, for making this happen!! We looked forward to many more sessions to come! Please stay tuned for the release of our of 2026 dates! We can’t wait to work with you this year! 🥰
