At Strategies to End Homelessness, we want survivors and those currently experiencing Domestic Violence to know: You are not alone. We stand with you and are here to help. “HUD clarifies that survivors do not need to first sleep on the streets, in a car, or in an emergency shelter (Category 1) to qualify for assistance. The act of fleeing makes them immediately eligible for homeless assistance programs.” — HUD Exchange

Strategies to End Homelessness helps people find resources once they’ve become homeless, and we help people through the Shelter Diversion program so they can avoid entering a shelter. But what makes us truly unique is that we use data analytics to help prevent households from becoming homeless and stay in their home.

Shelter Diversion targets people who have already lost their housing, are doubled up, and are running out of places to stay. Shelter Diversion means keeping individuals and families from entering emergency shelters. Or sleeping in places not meant for human habitation. A nationally recognized best practice, Shelter Diversion has the best outcomes.

At Strategies to End Homelessness, we use data analytics to support homelessness prevention. We examine data to predict when someone is at risk of homelessness so we can assist them early, helping them remain in their home and avoid experiencing homelessness. We know that every number represents a person in need. All these numbers add up to preventing homelessness in our community.
