“What does Joseph House mean to me? Everything.

Being here gave me a chance to live life again. I’ve learned the tools to live drug-free and, more importantly, that my life matters. Staff members truly care, not just about the veterans, but about our families, too. They helped me reconnect with the people I love and gave me a second chance at life.

I’ll always have a special place in my heart for Joseph House." -Hensley Randy C. Jr., Army veteran

Some veterans come home from the battlefield carrying wounds no one can see.

For those struggling with drugs or alcohol, recovery can feel like another battle. But they don’t have to fight it alone.

October is Substance Abuse Prevention Month. We stand with veterans in recovery now and always.

A big thank you to the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation for a generous $50,000 grant to help us provide reliable transportation for veterans in recovery.

With additional support from Western & Southern, our new 12-passenger van will help veterans get to appointments, pursue job opportunities and stay connected to the services they need to move forward.

We’re grateful for these partners and their commitment to helping our veterans thrive.

When Army Veteran Lex M. came to Joseph House, he felt broken and on the edge of death. Months later, he has something he never thought possible: hope, healing and a life worth living.

"Coming to Joseph House has been life-changing. I came here broken, but through counseling, classes, meetings and the support of my fellow veterans and the incredible staff, I got my life back. Everyone here truly cares, and they've been with me every step of the way. I'll always be grateful for the hope and healing I found at Joseph House.”

Sometimes, getting our veterans where they need to go starts with a full tank.

Thanks to a generous $5,000 grant from Northrop Grumman Corporation, we can spend a little less time worrying about gas prices and a lot more time getting our veterans to the meetings and appointments that keep their recovery moving forward.

We’re grateful for their support and for helping us keep our veterans moving

Over the weekend we were honored to attend Therapeutic Riding Institute, Inc.'s Stetsons & Sterling Gala and celebrate the incredible impact of the WISH Program. One of the evening's most meaningful moments was seeing our own Transportation Coordinator, Donnie Lionberger, share his journey through the program.

Donnie's story is a powerful reminder that healing is possible and that the right support can change a life. Today, Joseph House veterans continue to participate in the WISH Program, where the transformative equine therapy experience fosters growth, resilience, and renewed hope.

Donnie's light shines brightly throughout our community, and we are grateful to still be a part of his story as he continues to inspire hope in others.
