We are proud to announce the 2026 recipient of the IGLCA “Be the #22” Award, presented in partnership with the Marin Elizabeth Lacson Memorial Foundation.

Please join us in congratulating Maddie Myslinski on this well-deserved recognition!

Like Marin, Maddie leads through her actions and the way she treats those around her. According to her coach, Maddie consistently encourages her teammates to rise above frustration and negativity, setting a positive example on and off the field. She is one of the most respectful and hardworking athletes her coach has encountered, demonstrating a level of humility and selflessness that puts her team before herself. While those qualities may not always earn the spotlight, they are exactly what make her so deserving of this recognition.

Maddie reminds us that true impact is measured not only by accomplishments, but by how we support others, carry ourselves, and contribute to something greater than ourselves.

Congratulations, Maddie, and thank you for exemplifying the values of the “Be the #22” Award.

We are proud to once again partner with the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association for the second annual “Be The #22” Character Award.

This award recognizes athletes who consistently demonstrate character, leadership, kindness, and selflessness while making a meaningful impact on their teams and communities, even when their contributions may not always show up on the stat sheet. “Be The #22” celebrates the values that define true success both on and off the field.

We are honored to recognize our five nominees for 2026 and grateful to the coaches who took the time to nominate these outstanding student-athletes. Your support helps us continue to celebrate the values that make this game and its community so special.

Today marks two years since Marin’s accident. She is deeply loved and profoundly missed. Today and every day, we do our best to honor her by remembering her life, her light, and the joy she brought into every room she entered.

10/22/25 is on Wednesday! Do you have your activity planned in honor of Marin’s birthday?

This year we are entering all participants into a raffle. Your 10/22 activity can be a physical activity that involves the numbers 10 and 22, a gathering of you and friends, or you can get creative.

FIVE participants will be randomly chosen and gifted one of Marin’s favorite card games, Karma. See below for raffle entrance criteria.

Rules:
- You must post a photo of your 10/22 activity on instagram or facebook
- tag
- include the hashtag
- make sure you are public so we can see your post OR send us a dm with a screenshot of your post
- the post must be on 10/22

We will reach out to the winners to get them their prizes. Stay tuned to see if you’re 1 of the 5!

Please join us on 10/22 for our second annual event on Marin’s birthday. There are many ways to participate. Like last year, we encourage you to complete a physical activity of your choice like running for 10 minutes and 22 seconds, biking for 10.22 miles, swimming 1022m, or anything else you can think of. Get creative!

We also encourage you to get together with friends and hang out together, play board games, go out to ice cream, or whatever you and your friends love to do together in honor of Marin.

If you choose to participate, please post a photo on 10/22 and tag with the hashtag . Exciting news: There will be a raffle for this year’s participants, more details to come on that soon. If you are able, we are welcoming a donation of $10.22 alongside your participation. Donations are not required for entry into the raffle.💜💜

We have another game night on the calendar in support of the Marin Elizabeth Lacson Memorial Foundation. On Marin’s 19th birthday, 10/22/25, there will be a night of Mahjong hosted by Marin’s aunt, at . Please see the image for details on how to register and join!

If you aren’t located in Cincinnati, we encourage you to host your own Mahjong game at home with friends. Donations welcome!
