Cincinnati Education & Research for Veterans Foundation, Inc. CERV contracts with Clinical Research Organizations to support pharmaceutical, therapeutic, and medical device investigations.

The CERV Foundation partners with the Cincinnati VA to advance clinical research, education, and outreach—improving care and honoring the lives of our nation's Veterans. The CERV Foundation, established in 1991 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1998, facilitates research and educational programming in collaboration with government agencies such as the Department of Defense and the National Institutes of Health, as well as private sector organizations. In addition to research, CERV sponsors educational seminars, consortiums, and conferences, primarily partnering with institutions like the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the VA, and other local organizations. The foundation also serves both the Columbus and Chillicothe VA facilities. CERV operates as one of over 75 nonprofit corporations authorized by Congress to support research and education at VA facilities nationwide, with oversight from the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Research and Development.
