Our July social was to a hidden gem of an attraction in Batavia Ohio. That is the Tri State Warbirds Museum which has two 100 x 100 foot hangars creating an aircraft display area honoring the role of the aircraft to illustrate the progress of aviation development and to honor the contribution of military aviation. If you have never been, ...........go now. It is awesome.

1957 was the year that the Forest Park Women's Club was born. Today we are 60 years old. We are proud to have 2 of our charter members still with us. Lillian Eickman, which is one of the 2 was not present tonight, but Kay Dorsa was present and did the honors of cutting the cake. Our instructions for attending this birthday meeting was to dress like we did in 1957. There are notations on each of the pictures below to give you an idea of how much fun we had celebrating.

Our March meeting was great like all the other ones. Our speaker was Mr. Jay Kathman from the Cincinnati Museum Center Heritage Programs. He enlightened us on the history of Cincinnati Chili. A lot of surprises there. Wow Skyline was not the first. Diana Herbe (hostess) coordinated a chili cook off amount the members. Seven members cooked their own version of chili and brought enough for everyone to try some of each. And the winner of the cook off was Donna Baumgartner. A really fun evening.

Our very interesting January program was presented by one of our former Mayors. Mr. Brandon Weirs, who is currently president of the Forest Park Historical Society. His topic was the "History of Forest Park". I have lived here since 1960 and it is amazing how much you forgot about your city.

The program for our October meeting was a presentation by Mr. Ed. Rider of the Society for the Preservation of Music Hall. He had a wonderful slide show of the plans for renovation. From the beginning of Music Hall to today. No pictures of the way it will look when it is opened again, but look at slide #3 and plans are to get back to the original look but with the comforts of today inside. The last picture is of the Candy Sale Committee. One of our big fund raising projects. Come on out and join us. Third Thursday of the month.,
