Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States, and a new chapter in the fight for Civil Rights. As the first African American, self-governing community north of the Mason-Dixon line, Lincoln Heights has a rich history of achievements, as well as systemic challenges, to reflect on as we celebrate Juneteenth.

LHOI is proud to be part of the Lincoln Heights community -- its legacy, pride, hardships and resilience. Every day we work towards ensuring that every resident of Lincoln Heights and the surrounding communities have their needs met.

This Juneteenth, we look back on the story of our community and see how far we have come. LHOI will always continue to grow, adapt, and work towards a future where our neighbors not just survive, but thrive.

Our Adult Day Service, a partner of Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio, is focused on providing a safe, supportive and stimulating environment for older adults whose caregivers cannot be with them during the day. At LHOI, we recognize that helping older adults remain in their homes and communities as long as possible offers them an engaging and dignified experience, as well as gives families the kind of support they need. 🩷💙💛

🎨Program, plan, coordinate, and supervise enrichment activities

Night 1 of the collaborative Workforce Development Cohort with our friends The DAD Initiative and Tamiko Ware Mauldin, our amazing facilitator, is in the books! 🎉
Tonight, these young adults showed up ready to put in the work. They spent time getting to know one another, sharing goals, aspirations, and the dreams that are driving each person forward.
What stood out most was the willingness to be open, engaged, and committed to growth. This cohort is more than a series of sessions—it's an opportunity to build confidence, develop professional skills, and create a pathway toward future success.
We're excited to walk alongside these emerging leaders over the next 10 sessions and watch them grow, challenge themselves, and achieve their goals. Special thanks to United Way of Greater Cincinnati!
