It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of one of our long standing members, Anita Clayton. She brought joy to everyone she touched.

Engagement opportunities with the City of Cincinnati as a contributor to the Connected Communities Update Task Force and Green Cincinnati Plan

AIA Cincinnati is communicating with the City of Cincinnati about engaging our members with the Connected Communities Update Task Force and Green Cincinnati Plan.

Connected Communities subcommittees include accessibility and visibility, environment, infrastructure, neighborhood character, and affordable housing.

Green Cincinnati Plan engagement areas include electrification, energy standards/benchmarking, incentives, energy efficiency, and solar.

Not all of these task forces/subcommittees are meeting yet, but AIA Cincinnati would like to be prepared with interested members when they are ready for professional guidance/assistance. If you’d be interested in engaging with either Connected Communities Update Task Force or Green Cincinnati Plan (or if you're already involved), please let Julie know by contacting her directly, or through the AIA Cincinnati website.

Architecture Matters Panel Discussion
The recent Architecture Matters article in Soapbox, Development Beyond the Basin, considered how neighborhoods and communities outside the central city are making places for new businesses and residents. To continue the discussion, architects representing a range of backgrounds and experiences will discuss community directed development, locations, and typologies in the outer neighborhoods of Cincinnati and communities of Hamilton County.
