SOBER STORY OF THE WEEK
"Thirteen years ago, I couldn’t imagine being happy, content, or even wanting to be alive."
For Jake Sartori, getting sober was a mountain built on fear and doubt. He didn’t have all the answers, but he had one simple strategy: just keep doing the next right thing. Day by day, those small, courageous choices began to transform a life that once felt hopeless into something extraordinary.
Today, Jake is living a reality that is truly far beyond his wildest dreams.
As the owner of SLC Life Coaching (check out website in our BIO), Jake turns his past struggles into purpose, coaching and guiding men who battle mental illness and addiction toward their own recovery. But if you ask him what he’s most proud of, it’s the quiet, beautiful everyday moments. He’s a devoted husband, a proud father to two amazing boys, and a daily testament to what becomes possible when you choose freedom.
"I love being a father. I love being a husband. And I love being sober."
None of the joy, purpose, or love in Jake’s life today would exist without that initial decision to put down the drink. His journey reminds us that no matter how dark the starting point may feel, recovery builds a life richer than anything you can currently imagine.
