When a VISION becomes reality. Today we had our largest MVK Girls with Pearls Vision Board workshop EVER!

100+ girls, 7 schools, together learning how to set goals for their futures.

Thank you 84.51° for hosting and providing lunch and supplies! Tonya Banks for leading our session and our incredible leaders and volunteers.

So special to share the video of our MVK Student Superstar, Enyjah. The girls were inspired hearing about a student like them who sat in that room 10 years ago, creating the vision board of the goals she is achieving today!

Last weekend two amazing kids and chaperones cheered on Cincinnati Bengals at our home opener. “Thank you donors supporting Most Valuable Kids. Their generosity allowed my son and I to enjoy our first Bengals game together. I could not have imagined a more memorable experience. I can’t thank you enough for how much fun we had sharing this experience.” Cincinnati Bengals WHO DEY

So many positive outcomes from a new experience… Thank you Broadway in Cincinnati for the 70 tickets to see Gatsby. The kids had an amazing time, with added benefits: “we are going to read the book now.” “Two of the girls loved the big jazz and tap number so much they asked to take dance lessons.” “It was one of our students birthday and this was her first time at the theater.”

What a day at the ballpark! ⚾ More than 1,000 kids and chaperones joined us for our annual Ultimate Reds Experience, including an unforgettable on-field parade. A huge thank you to Cincinnati Reds for the tickets and TQL Total Quality Logistics for keeping everyone fueled with snack packs.

Our MVK Student Impact Award winners, Enyjah and Gyp, had the honor of throwing out and catching the first pitch!

As a teenager, Gyp Banks was searching for stability and direction. Through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati, he was matched with his mentor, David, who helped him find both.

Together, they attended sporting and arts events through MVK, experiences that reinforced a lesson Gyp now shares often: exposure matters. When young people are given the chance to see more of the world, they begin to see more for themselves.

Today, Gyp is a Workforce Development Coordinator with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati, a mentor to local teens, and a student at the University of Cincinnati pursuing a degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. His long-term goal is to become a therapist, helping young people navigate some of life's most challenging seasons.

His leadership, service, and commitment to helping others recently earned him one of MVK's Student Impact Awards at our 20th Anniversary Celebration, providing additional support as he continues pursuing his goals.

Watch Gyp's story and see the lasting impact of mentorship, opportunity, and someone believing in your potential.
