American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a scout-type character development program for girls ages 5 to 18. AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity and does so by offering girls exciting opportunities to participate in badge programs, service projects, leadership opportunities, and outdoor experiences, all with an emphasis on Christian values and family involvement. AHG offers girls forward-focused, Christian programming that is rich in opportunities for girls of all ages and abilities. The AHG Program enables girls to grow in their faith, cultivate a heart for service, and have more fun than they can imagine! Determined by each family’s individual needs, girls can either join an AHG Troop or become AHG Trailblazers. AHG Trailblazer Membership is designed for military, missionary, and other families who are unable to join a Troop due to location, availability, or accessibility. Trailblazers independently participate in the AHG Program, and since all Trailblazer family situations are unique, the AHG Program allows for minor adaptations to fulfill the AHG Mission. In the Trailblazer experience, one girl or a set of sisters is mentored by the adult (often a parent) who meets AHG’s adult membership requirements and agrees to serve as the girl’s Trailblazer Mentor. AHG Troops are owned and operated by Charter Organizations (churches and other non-profits that align with AHG’s Statement of Faith) meaning that churches and other like-minded ministries can customize their Troops to best accomplish their ministry goals, whether those be denominational or otherwise. American Heritage Girls comes alongside Charter Organizations in the mission to raise well-rounded, Godly girls, and invest in their families.

Equipping leaders to make a difference!
Two American Heritage Girls Adult Members, Christina DE2024 and Amie Troop AR1815. received scholarships to attend Patriot Academy Constitutional Coach Congress in Fredericksburg, Texas!
Throughout this incredible experience, Christina and Amie strengthened their understanding of our nation’s founding principles through hands-on legislative simulations, committee debates, and training rooted in a Biblical, historical, and constitutional worldview.

"The experience has impacted me in ways I can not yet fully express. I have a better understanding of the constitution, the political process, and of our need to speak up." — Amie AR1815

We’re grateful for opportunities like these that equip AHG Adult Members to lead with confidence, stand firm in their convictions, and make a meaningful impact in their families and communities.
Thank you, to one of our Program Alliances, Patriot Academy , for investing in leaders who are passionate about faith, freedom, and the next generation! ❤️💙 Learn more at https://bit.ly/47gfRTc

What does a girl need most when her parents are walking through divorce? In this episode of Raising Godly Girls, Rachael Culpepper and Melissa Bearden turn their attention to the girls caught in the middle of one of life’s most difficult family transitions. While Christian conversations often focus on God’s design for marriage and the ideal of a two-parent home, this episode asks an equally important question: How can we faithfully care for the girls and families who are living through brokenness right now? Listen to Episode 436 – When Divorce Shakes the Foundation: Guiding Girls through a Family’s Toughest Seasons on your go-to podcast streaming app, or find somewhere to listen at https://linktr.ee/raisinggodlygirls.

It’s ! Every other week, AHG will share one of the many examples of what being an American Heritage Girl looks like. As stated in our Program Emphases, Girl Members who complete the AHG Program will be Christ-following servant leaders who are honoring, relational, anchored in Christ, and competent. They are women who promise to be RESOURCEFUL. They are women of Integrity.

Bringing history to life through AHG adventures!
One American Heritage Girls family from Troop WV0058 celebrated Constitution Day at Mount Vernon, in Fairfax County, Virginia! They had the incredible opportunity to attend a special presentation by Constituting America and be part of a live audience for a program streamed nationwide! Experiences like these are a wonderful reminder that badgework doesn't have to happen only during Troop meetings!
From visiting historical landmarks to attending educational events, AHG families can turn everyday adventures into meaningful learning opportunities and lasting life experiences.
How has your AHG family brought badgework to life outside of Troop meetings? Share your experiences in the comments!
