Recovery Center of Hamilton County

Recovery Center of Hamilton County Our center is directed by individuals who have overcome the obstacles of their own mental illness and has been in existence since May of 2006.

RCHC promotes health and wellness through empowerment, education, and peer support so individuals affected by mental illness can live fulfilling lives in our community. Recovery Center of Hamilton County (RCHC) is a non-profit program that promotes health and wellness through empowerment, education, and peer support so individuals affected by mental illness can live fulfilling lives in our communi

ty. We focus on a structured, class-based schedule where each individual participates in classes that work toward their specific health and wellness goals. The RCHC takes a holistic approach to mental health recovery by focusing on education, physical wellness, computer skills development, creative expressions, job readiness, academic advancement, personal growth, support groups, and community involvement. Besides serving as role models, the staff and volunteers teach and lead a variety of classes and activities with the goal of helping members return to work or school, pursue interests and hobbies in the community, and live satisfying lives. The RCHC is designed to be a stepping-stone to full integration into community living. As such, we strive to help individuals access the resources and support necessary for them to develop or strengthen skills, increase empowerment, and improve quality of life. To that end, the RCHC places a strong emphasis on collaboration with community organizations as we believe that exposure to, and interaction with, our universities, community organizations, art museums, etc. opens the door to opportunities for growth and integration for members.

Reminder: RCHC will be CLOSED Friday, June 5th!

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health affects everyone, but many men still face pressure to "tough it out" or keep their struggles to themselves. The truth is, talking about your mental health takes courage.

This month, we’re encouraging open conversations, checking in on the people we care about, and reminding men that support is available when they need it.

A simple text, phone call, or conversation can make a difference.

Because mental health is health—and every person deserves support.💙
