Flying Cloud Academy of Vintage Dance The Flying Cloud is dedicated to the research, performance, and teaching of vintage dance from the early 1800s through the 1930s.

The Flying Cloud is credited with the flowering of vintage dance in North America. Founded in 1981 by Richard Powers, the organization has sparked interest in historic social dance throughout the world. The Flying Cloud is dedicated to the preservation, performance, and teaching of historic ballroom dances and music. We provide opportunities for dancers of all levels to enjoy the magic of authenti

c historic dance and other related traditions. We share our love of dance through classes, performances, and the re-creation of elegant evenings of dancing in period settings.

The ball will be held at the Glendale Lyceum on April 26th from 8-11 pm. Ticket prices will include light bites, including General LaFayettes favorite dessert, live music, a Lafayette impersonator, and dancing!

$20 for students
$40 for Academy members
$50 for general public

Hello everyone! A few announcements about our spring season Regency dance lessons and General Lafayette Commenorative Ball:

The series of lessons will run February 26 - April 23 on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center, 322 Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, OH 45215. The cost will be $5.00 per class ($3.00 for Academy members).

The ball will be held at the Glendale Lyceum on April 26th from 8-11 pm. Ticket prices will include light bites, including General Lafayette’s favorite dessert, live music, a Lafayette impersonator, and dancing!
