Buckeye SAR Dogs (BSARD) is one of the oldest and largest K9 Search-and-Rescue teams in Ohio, serving Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana since 2004. We are available 24/7 at the request of law enforcement, fire and other emergency services, providing independently-certified K9s and handlers in the disciplines of area search, mantrailing, and human remains detection on land and water. r K9 handlers have, on average, over 15 years of experience. All certified handlers are trained in first aid/CPR (minimum), HazMat awareness, crime scene preservation, ICS and NASAR SARTECH II or equivalent. All team members, whether K9 handlers or support, must pass a criminal background check every two years. BSARD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, entirely funded by donations - Our services are offered at no cost to requesting agencies. BSARD is also a member of the Ohio Federation of K9 Search Teams, and maintains good working mutual-aid relationships with other Federation K9 teams throughout the state.
