What does it really mean to GO?

Before Jesus ascended, He gave His followers a command: “Go” and “make disciples.”

He never said, “Get comfortable and wait for the lost to come to you.”

He told us to GO.

Jesus lived it. He went where people were, meeting them in their neighborhoods, struggles and places of need.

Jesus’ ministry was about people.

That’s the heart behind our STORM Bus.

We go into places many people would rather overlook, meeting women caught in the darkness of s*x trafficking. We bring meals, supplies and connections to resources—but most importantly, the love of Christ.

Because this ministry is about people.

Showing up. Building trust. Listening. Praying. Reminding someone who feels forgotten that she is seen, valued and loved by God.

Isaiah 58:10 reminds us:

“Then shall your light rise in the darkness…”

The STORM Bus carries that light into the darkness.

That’s what Amplify means to us—not simply doing more, but strengthening the work God has given us and extending its reach to people who need hope.

More Than a Bus

Your support helps us take that hope farther, so more women can encounter practical help, genuine relationship and the hope of Jesus.

👉 The donation link is in the comments. Look for “STORM Outreach” under "Apply My Donation" when you give.

And we want to hear from you:

What does “GO” mean to you? Where is God calling His people to show up?

👇 Tell us in the comments. If this message speaks to you, like it and share it.

Because sometimes a bus is more than transportation.

Sometimes it’s a vehicle for hope.

Lots of great things are happening at Lord’s Gym Ministries! 🙌

One of the newest is our Food Hub at the Family Activity Center! ❤️

The Food Hub will help provide food and essential items to local families while creating opportunities for our team and volunteers to build relationships and share the love of Christ.

And we need YOU!

📦 Fourth Fridays — Food Bagging
Help us pack food bags for local families.

🤝 Fourth Saturdays — Food Distribution
Welcome families, help with sign-in, and distribute food bags.

You can also help by donating unused reusable grocery bags or any of these much-needed items:

🧻 Toilet paper
🥫 Can openers
🪥 Toothpaste & toothbrushes
🧼 Bars of soap & washcloths

We need 50 of each item every month!

Every volunteer. Every donated item. Every bag.

It all helps meet a practical need and opens the door to meaningful relationships.

There’s a lot happening at Lord’s Gym—and we’d love for you to be part of it!

Remember. Rejoice. Press On. 🙏

As Scott continues his Great Divide journey, two Bible verses are reminding him of what matters most.

Joshua 4:24: Remember what God has done. Remember His faithfulness. Remember that His hand is mighty.

Philippians 4:2: “Rejoice in the Lord always.”

Not just when things are going well.

When we’re uncomfortable, rejoice.
When we’re struggling, rejoice.
When the journey is difficult, rejoice.

Because our joy isn’t rooted in our circumstances. It’s rooted in who God is.

Whatever you’re facing today, remember His faithfulness, rejoice in who He is, and trust Him with what comes next.

Remember. Rejoice. Press on.

More Than a Bus ❤️

A bus can be a lot of things.

For STORM Outreach Ministry, it’s a way to reach the ONE.

Lovingly named STORMIE by Chaplain Lynn, our current STORM bus has faithfully carried our team into the community—bringing food, essential supplies, prayer, listening ears, compassionate relationships, and the hope of Jesus to women where they are.

But STORMIE is showing her age.

Now, we need your help to keep this vital outreach moving.

We’re raising $40,000 for a new STORM bus.

Because this isn’t just about a vehicle.

It’s about relationships.
It’s about showing up.
It’s about offering hope.
It’s about reminding women they are seen, valued, loved, and not forgotten.

We don’t meet people with judgment. We meet them with love, dignity, prayer, and hope.

And we keep showing up.

Would you help us keep STORM on the road?

Give $40.
Give $400.
Give $4,000.

Every gift helps us continue leaving the 99 to find the ONE.

More than a bus.
More than a ride.
A way to reach the ONE.

Midweek Prayer for Recovery 🙏

Today, we’re praying for everyone walking the road of recovery.

Father, meet them where they are today. Give them strength for the next step, courage when the journey feels hard, and hope when they feel like giving up.

Remind them that their past does not define their future. Surround them with people who will pray for them, encourage them, hold them accountable, and never give up on them.

For those who are struggling today, give them the strength to reach out for help.

For those celebrating another day of sobriety, give them gratitude and the courage to keep going.

And for the families and friends walking alongside them, give them patience, wisdom, and strength.

Lord, remind every person in recovery that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.

Amen. ❤️

Why do we go into the trenches, trap houses, and other difficult places?

Because God has called us to go—and He has equipped us to do it.

When we leave the ninety-nine to go after the ONE, we meet remarkable people.

We don’t judge them for where they are on their journey. We love them where they are—because that’s where transformation begins.

Recently, a friend stopped by to thank us for praying for him and never giving up on him.

He now has several months of sobriety, a job, and a new car. ❤️

That’s what transformation can look like.

And it takes a village.

Your prayers, encouragement, generosity, and support have been a vital part of his journey. Thank you for helping us meet people where they are and remind them that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.

We’ll keep going after the ONE.

When We’re Hurting, Draw Near

There are moments when the brokenness of this world leaves us heartbroken, overwhelmed, and searching for answers.

We may not understand why. We may not know what to say. But we can know this:

God sees. God loves. And God is near.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

When our hearts are hurting, we need more than answers—we need His presence. And one of the ways we draw near to God is through His Word.

Scripture reminds us who He is. It gives us truth when emotions overwhelm us, hope when circumstances feel hopeless, and direction when we don't know what to do next.

That’s why the 40 in 40 challenge matters.

As we celebrate 40 years of God’s faithfulness through FOCAS and Lord’s Gym Ministries, we’re spending 40 days in God’s Word—reading 40 verses each day.

Because we don’t just need God’s Word when life is going well.

We need it when we’re hurting.
We need it when we’re afraid.
We need it when we don’t understand.
We need it when we’re searching for hope.

The more we know His Word, the more we know His heart—and the closer we draw to Him.

40 verses. 40 days. One faithful God.

God is faithful. And He gives us strength to keep showing up. ❤️

This week, we’ve been reflecting on what it means to stay strong in Him—especially when life and ministry feel heavy.

We’ve experienced loss. We’ve seen violence impact our community. We’ve walked alongside people who are hurting.

And still, God calls us to keep showing up.

To serve.
To love.
To encourage.
To create safe places.
To do His will.

That’s the heart behind our Community Awareness Breakfast: Amplify — Strengthening Skill, Spirit & Service.
