We finally got one. ❤️

Joey has been using an Juno at school, and after seeing how helpful it is, we decided to get one for ourselves.

The Juno is a portable video magnifier that helps students with low vision enlarge text, images, classroom materials, and everyday objects. It’s simple, portable, and incredibly powerful.

One of the things we’ve learned through Joey’s journey is that accessibility isn’t about having one perfect tool. It’s about having the right tools available when you need them.

We’re excited to spend more time with the Juno and continue learning how technology can help students with visual impairments access the world around them.

Have you used a Juno before? Let us know what you think. 👇

We know every donor by name.

That’s not a marketing slogan.

It’s what happens when a nonprofit is run entirely by volunteers and every dollar goes toward helping students with significant vision loss access the technology they need.

When a donation comes in, we see it.

We know the story behind it.

Sometimes we know exactly which student’s device it helped fund.

That’s the kind of organization we want to be.

Small enough to know the names.

Focused enough to make every dollar count.

THANK YOU!

Sometimes accessibility is the difference between looking and actually seeing.

At the reptile house, Joey used the Juno from to zoom into one of the enclosures at the . Even with perfect vision, it can be hard to spot what’s inside. For someone with low vision, that challenge is even bigger.

We recently purchased a Juno ourselves, and after seeing how helpful it can be in real-life moments like this, we’re exploring whether it could become one of the devices Vision Nonprofit provides to kids with low vision.

Because access should not stop at the classroom. Kids deserve tools that help them learn, explore, and participate in the world around them.

Apple’s upcoming accessibility updates are exciting but this is why they matter.

One feature that caught our attention is VoiceOver Image Explorer, which
says will use Apple Intelligence to give richer descriptions of photos, screenshots, scanned documents, bills, IDs, and more.

For blind and low vision users, context matters not just labels.

This photo of Joey using his iPad is a reminder that accessibility tools are not extra features. They help students read, learn, create, and participate more independently.

At Vision Nonprofit, this is why we provide iPads to students with significant vision loss.

Accessibility is not a feature. It’s a foundation.

Joey was in his element helping Jillian set up her new MacBook Air.

One of the best parts was watching him show her the built-in accessibility features that can support people with vision loss, including Hover Text, which enlarges text when you move the pointer over it, and Spoken Content, which can read text aloud.

For Joey, technology is more than a device. It is a tool for independence, confidence, and everyday access.

Moments like this are a big part of why Vision Nonprofit exists, helping students with vision loss get access to the technology that can support them in school, at home, and in life.

Most people walk up to the exhibit and look. Joey pulls out his Juno.

Today at the , Joey used his Juno from to zoom in and see the condor nest from across the enclosure. For kids with low vision, technology like this can completely change how they experience the world around them.

Moments like this are why accessible technology matters. It creates independence, confidence, and access to experiences that many people take for granted.

10 iPads delivered.

This one is for Matti 💜

Because access to technology isn’t extra, it’s essential.

Matti is now part of our Bridge the Gap: Ohio 30 journey, and every device we deliver means more independence, more confidence, and more opportunity.

Her smile says everything.

And we’re not done yet…
20 more to go.

If you’ve been following along, thank you. If you’re new here — this is what we do.

We provide iPads and assistive technology to kids with low vision so they can succeed in school and in life.

Help us reach 30.

“I ❤️ Vision.”

Sometimes the mission is that simple.

This is why we do what we do.
Giving kids with low vision the tools to learn, grow, and feel confident in their world.

More access. More independence. More moments like this.
