Director of the Kautz-Uible Economics Institute in the UC Digital Futures research building, Michael Jones partnered with faculty colleague Jordan Tate, professor of Fine Arts at UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning, will launch the startup company Carbon Copy Assets (CCA) - changing the “game” of the student-athlete NIL landscape. 📲
“We are building a loyalty platform that rewards students for volunteering in the community, meeting with their professors and mentors, attending career fairs and student organizations, creating a social media presence, and developing life skills - like financial literacy and legal literacy. All of these are attested on a blockchain, an immutable and publicly verifiable record of accomplishments. Corporate brands and alumni can immediately see the ROI of their investments.” - Jones mentions in his recent LinkedIn posts: https://bit.ly/3Uz7KKJ
Carbon Copy Assets (CCA) is backed by UC’s 1819 Innovation Hub Venture Lab and Tech Transfer Department.
We can expect a prototype of the app this summer and the release date is set for this fall!
