***Sisters, please note the hot-off-the-press info on the Alumnae Brunch for Homecoming on October 24, AND an invitation to the Omega Xi Founders Day celebration on October 27.*** Chapter is seeking a headcount of alums planning to attend both events, so please complete the attached forms and return so that any dietary restrictions can be taken into account and chapter can plan for the appropriate amount of guests.

1) The form for Founders Day is based on the finalized information included in this message.
2) The spreadsheet for Homecoming is for preliminary planning for chapter; final details for Homecoming Saturday can't be finalized until gametime is announced, which is still a few days off. However, if you feel you can give chapter a heads-up now because you are free that day, great! Otherwise, note that we think we will have details by the end of this weekend at which point the update will be shared and you could RSVP then also.

What to Expect
During this event, we will be awarding scholarships and celebrating the sisterhood and traditions that make Kappa Delta so special. Dinner will also be served.
We will be catering from Jennifer Hughes (same woman as last year). Menu options include salad with 2 dressing options, breadsticks, penne pasta (GF), Alfredo (GF and vegetarian), Italian meat sauce (GF), sliced chicken (GF) and brownies. Sisters, a volunteer opportunity may await you!

Are you looking for a way to give back to Kappa Delta? Have you considered serving in a mentor role for one of our aspiring collegiate leaders? The Omega Xi chapter is in need of an alumna to fill an open CAB role - Collegiate Facilities.
In this position, you will work with the director of collegiate facilities (House Manager for those of us who are old school!) and House Corp Board to ensure the chapter space is meeting the needs of the chapter and the national organization. You’ll work alongside the rest of the CAB to provide support for the chapter’s meeting, storage, and/or living space.
Time commitment
CAB speaks to their counterpart ideally once a week. We have a joint meeting with the council once per month in person, and a CAB meeting right before the joint CAB/council meeting on the same day. The CAB-CF attends House Corp meetings, which are about every quarter at most. Also, CAB are needed to go to approximately one formal chapter meeting, initiation etc. each semester.

**We also have several other open CAB positions that can be both in person or remote! Not all positions require an Omega Xi alumna! Our housing situation at Omega Xi is somewhat unique. :)

Dear Sisters, I am reaching out to share with you that I am Omega Xi’s champion for this year’s Founder’s Day of Giving campaign, an annual fundraiser for the Kappa Delta Foundation. (I recognize that our AC’s FaceBook page and email list include sisters initiated at or affiliated with other chapters, and that you may hear from your own chapter’s champion as well. I hope this does not lead to overload.) Leading up to and through October 23, Kappa Deltas all over the country will be sharing their gifts to support the many ways the Foundation gives to our sisters and communities. Whether it is through scholarships; programs focused on alcohol awareness, mental health and leadership; support to alumnae in crisis; or other notable efforts and programs, the Foundation’s work reaches far and wide. You will see a couple of communications from me leading up to Founders Day sent through various mediums; I realize you may get them through more than one social media venue and hope you can bear with that. All, thank you for our most successful year yet! We were close to our ambitious goal, and three final donations on the evening of the walk shortly before the final deadline pushed us over. And it was our biggest team yet!

Sisters, it's almost here! Looks like, with any luck, it will be great walking weather tomorrow. Jo and I are so excited this year!

As you saw in our last email, we have a good-sized team and have now added Chris Pappas too. We also have two more donations, from Kathy Tracy and Karen, and are getting close to what felt like a very ambitious goal. Here are the particulars for our group:

General: There is adequate parking for this event at Summit Park, and there will be volunteers on hand to not only direct you for the parking, but then point you towards the festivities (though it's hard to miss). Please allow time to walk from the parking area to the registration tent (which is in the heart of everything, near the stage) to pick up your reg packet and t-shirt if you ordered one. Then please plan on joining us; Jo and I will be in the general area of the port-o-lets and to the left of the stage as you face it. We will have the KD Warriors sign that is in our team photo on the Walk website, and Jo and I will be in our Teal Walk shirts. (We get there plenty early so I am sure you will be able to find us.)

Photo: The walk starts at a little after 10:00, once the runners have started. We do have one runner in our group, so coordination of a team photo means we have to get it done before Angie has to line up with the other runners. Please try to be there early enough that the photo can be done by 9:45. While there is a nice balloon arch for group photos, there is often competition for the arch and depending on how close to 9:45 some of our group arrives, we may not have time to wait in line. Can work just as well to take our photo off to the side where we are meeting up; we will press some innocent bystander into photography duty. 😊

Looking forward to tomorrow! Thanks to all who have contributed and/or are walking with us! (Anna B, if you see this: I know you will be busy with your own walkers, but if you have time to join us for a minute for the group photo, we'd love it. 💚)

Hi! I was a Kappa Delta at the University of Louisville, Alpha Xi chapter, and I’m currently in graduate school working toward my Family Nurse Practitioner degree. I’m reaching out to see if there are any Kappa Delta alumni who are Nurse Practitioners, MDs, or DOs in the Cincinnati area who may be interested in precepting me for my clinicals.

I’ll be starting my clinicals in Summer 2027 and will need experience in Primary Care, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and a Specialty. If you know of anyone who may be willing to precept or who could help connect me with a provider, I would greatly appreciate it!
