Cincinnati Fire Fighters Union Local 48 represents the brave fire fighters of the Cincinnati Fire Department, the first fully paid professional fire department in the country (April 1, 1853). Local 48 was one of the original charter locals of the International Association of Fire Fighters, receiving our charter on February 28, 1918.

You are cordially invited to enjoy an afternoon of great food, b**r, and music as Northern Row Brewery & Distillery releases this year's Roughneck L***r at Low & Slow on October 17th from noon-6pm at Northern Row!

Enter to win items including Local 48 mini b**r kegs, cigar/bourbon boxes, and merchandise donated by The Cincy Hat Foundation. Money raised from the raffle and a portion of L***r sales goes to the Cincinnati Fire Fighters Charitable Fund which provides support for firefighters and their families including those from across the country visiting Cincinnati for treatment at area hospitals.

The Cincinnati Fire Fighters Charitable Fund is our ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ(๐œ)(๐Ÿ‘)that allows us to help our members and their families when they are going through difficult times. It also gives us the ability to help fellow fire fighters and their families from across the country who come to Cincinnati for medical treatment at places like Cincinnati Childrenโ€™s Hospital or UC Medical Center, Etc,.

This fund has made a real difference for our own. Most recently, it was used to help our Brother ๐‘๐ฒ๐š๐ง ๐™๐ฐ๐ข๐œ๐ค ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐›๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐œ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ซ.

This weekend is the 2026 Larry Henderson Memorial Police vs. Fire Softball Tournament at Mid-America Ballyard.

This yearโ€™s tournament is especially meaningful to Local 48 as they honor the memory of Cincinnati Fire Fighter and Local 48 member Ryan Zwick.

Ryan was a friend, classmate, and brother to many throughout the Cincinnati Fire Department, and weโ€™re glad to see his memory being honored through an event that brings the fire and law enforcement communities together.

The tournament will also support Sergeant Robert โ€œEricโ€ Mai of the Hamilton County Sheriffโ€™s Office and the Honor the Fallen Project.

We encourage Local 48 Members and their families to come out September 26โ€“27, watch some softball, and support a great cause.

Ryan is missed by many and will never be forgotten.
