The Cincinnati Chapter proudly honored the life and legacy of Carole Robertson, a Jack and Jill teen whose life was tragically taken in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 15, 1963.

More than six decades later, we remain committed to ensuring that Carole’s story is never forgotten. It is our charge and our responsibility to remember her contributions, honor the life she lived, and carry her legacy forward through the generations.

May we continue to teach, remember, and lead with purpose so that the dreams and possibilities Carole represented live on in every generation that follows.

A heartfelt thank you to our Chapter-Wide Events Chair & Committee, Chapter President, and every mother member who poured their time and energy into making this celebration fun, meaningful, and memorable.

Chapter Retreat: DONE. ✅

Two retreats. Two spaces for reflection, alignment, and intentional conversations about where we are—and more importantly, where we’re going.

What was transparent and crystal clear from both experiences?

EXCELLENCE IS STILL THE STANDARD.

Not simply in what we do, but in how we lead, how we serve, how we show up, and how we move forward together.

Excellence requires intention. It requires accountability. It requires us to challenge ourselves, embrace growth, have the courageous conversations, and remain committed to the purpose behind the work.

As we prepare for another chapter of service, leadership, sisterhood, and impact, the message is clear:

✨ The standard hasn’t changed.
✨ The vision remains forward-focused.
✨ The commitment is stronger.
✨ And excellence is non-negotiable.

We reflected.
We aligned.
We envisioned.
Now… it’s time to execute.

Excellence is still the standard. And we intend to set the example.

As a new school year begins, we pause to honor and celebrate our graduating seniors. Thank you for the dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment you have shared with the Jack and Jill teens. You have led by example, inspired those around you, and helped strengthen our chapter in ways that will continue long after you’ve moved on.

While we will miss your presence, we are filled with pride as you step confidently into this next season of your journey. Remember that every ending is the beginning of something extraordinary. Continue to lead with courage, serve with purpose, and pursue your dreams with confidence. The future is brighter because of the light you carry.

We are excited to witness the impact of your leadership as we continue to empower mothers, cultivate joyful families, and strengthen communities together.

This past weekend, teens from across the region gathered in Loyola Chicago with purpose, to learn, lead, grow, and leave inspired. Through meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and opportunities to showcase their talents, our youth demonstrated what leadership in action truly looks like.

We are especially proud of our chapter’s incredible teens:
🖤 One teen courageously stepped into leadership, competing and campaigning for a regional position, gaining invaluable experience and setting the stage for future aspirations.
🏆 Another teen delivered an outstanding performance in the oratorical competition, earning 1st place in his division.
🎹 Our teens also gave back through service, volunteering during Sunday worship, praise dancing, and sharing their musical gifts through piano.

And one of the most meaningful moments of all, we watched our senior teens walk across the stage, closing this chapter of their lives and stepping boldly into the next. A celebration of growth, possibility, and all that lies ahead as they carry forward the legacy and begin writing their own stories.

The future is bright because our teens continue to honor the past while creating the future. Their resilience, excellence, service, and leadership remind us that the next generation is already making an impact.

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Cincinnati Chapter will host its annual Super Saturday Symposium on Feb. 21 at Xavier University, focusing on leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and community impact for high school students/ teens 13 and up.

Super Saturday Symposium, is a transformative day of learning and exploration where teens are encouraged to dream in color, explore their purpose and turn vision into action.

We are excited to welcome venture investor Candice Matthews Brackeen, General Partner at Lightship Capital, as our opening speaker. This year’s programming also includes inclusive sessions for neurodiverse teens, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and community service.
