Jose Cerda Navarro Aquatic Foundation

Jose Cerda Navarro Aquatic Foundation The mission of the JCAF is to support water polo and swim teams improving competitiveness of their athletes and fostering unity among teams.

The José Cerdá Navarro Aquatic Foundation has been established to honor the memory of José Cerdá Navarro by benefiting the sports he loved, swimming and water polo. José was constantly striving to move to the next level of athletic performance while also having fun and supporting his teammates and fellow competitors. José Cerdá Navarro passed away suddenly on October 26th, 2010; the day of his 18t

h birthday from an arrhythmia while swimming. As a Senior at Sycamore High School, José played on the Varsity Water Polo Team as the 2-meter position wearing Cap # 3 and was awarded honorary 1st Team All Ohio at the end of the 2010 season. He also was the backstroker for the Sycamore Varsity Swim team. This non-profit organization has supported the Cincinnati Shoot-Out Jose Cerda Memorial Tournament, the Ohio Water Polo Camp, Swimming Clinics, Heart Screenings, attendance of Ohio teams to JO Qualifiers and JO games and the #3 Water Polo Award at the different high schools in Cincinnati thanks to the generous donation of its patrons .
