National Down Syndrome Adoption Network The NDSAN is committed to providing information, resources and support to expectant and new families who may want to make an adoption plan for their child.

The National Down Syndrome Adoption Network provides information to birth families who may be seeking alternatives to parenting as they prepare for the arrival of their child. Making an adoption plan for a child with Down syndrome is a loving choice and can be the right choice for some families. This is a page for supporters of the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network. We encourage open discussion while keeping the messages and comments family-friendly. We monitor our page 24/7 and will respond to posts as soon as possible. What exactly is the NDSAN Registry?

It's a registry of families across the United States who are home-study ready and want to adopt a child with Down syndrome.

Before joining the registry, families go through a preparation process that includes completing their home study, creating a family profile, and completing NDSAN's registration process.

When an adoption opportunity arises, NDSAN works with the adoption agency to identify potential adoptive families.
