A wonderful tribute to our recently passed Grand Knight John Archibald.

We mourn the loss of our beloved Grand Knight John Archibald. He passed with his family at bedside after a short illness. He will be missed.

Many of you may know that our Council earns money for charitable projects by working concessions at the Bengals’ football games. Sometimes, one may have other opportunities, if one is prepared.

One of our Knights missed such an opportunity, however. Here’s his post:

“I will never forget my phone again. Working at the bengal’s game, took an order down the elevator, it stopped and five cheerleaders hopped in! And I could not even get a selfie with them!!!”

At 94, Sir Knight John Murphy is one of our oldest members. John has a long history in youth sports, both as a volunteer coach and as a referee; he is a member of the board of the Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame.
One of his achievements in the Knights was winning an “I Recruited 10” pin many years ago. While very proud of that achievement, John mislaid the pin during a move. He asked if we could get a replacement.
Worthy Knight Bob Zerhusen went to work. The pin is no longer offered, but he found an old friend who had a few left and got this one for John.
As you can see, John is very happy with his new pin. He says “When I go, I want to be laid out with this pin on my lapel!”
We want to see it, too, John - just not too soon! Vivat Jesus!
