Yesterday, amidst the remnants of Hurricane Isaias, we held our yearly golf outing. We had a lot of fun and raised a lot of funds! The soggy weather and chilly temperatures did not deter our players and in the end, there was a hot meal waiting for them under the tent. Congratulations to the winning team of Eric Head, Carter Stobierski, Ruben Salazar, and Jay Tilton. The second place team was the group of Princeton Golf Team participants who were sponsored through our social media supporters. Many thanks to those who contributed to this Facebook/Instagram plea so that these exceptional young men (who obviously possess some talent) could play, and so the shelter could meet its minimum number to proceed with the golf outing! Whew!😅
Split the Pot winner Joe Schneider was a big winner and an even bigger hero when he donated the proceeds right back to the shelter! 👏 👏 👏
Many thanks are in order and we will be highlighting our sponsors, supporters, and donors but we’d like to start with thanking our event coordinator, Paul Phillips, who spent the better part of a year organizing, recruiting, negotiating, and rounding up prizes for not only the golf outing but much of what you see on the silent auction website. Thank you to co-chair Marc Hermes for his willingness to go door to door and find the local businesses who wanted to help the animals by sponsoring a hole at the tournament. And Laila Elmasri, our digital expert who figured out all the technical aspects of setting up the outing and auction platform and creating signage, we appreciate you!
Thank you to the best Sharonville neighbors we could have ever asked for, Vivid WRAPS, who graciously agreed to print our hole sponsorship signs and sponsor one themselves! They take care of us and look out for us in many ways, and we could not be more thankful that they are right next door! Please support them, they are wonderful people!
