Ladyfest is a community-based, not-for-profit global music and arts festival for feminist and women artists. Every Ladyfest is unique, but usually feature a combination of bands, musical groups, performance artists, authors, spoken word and visual artists, films, lectures, art exhibitions and workshops and is organized by volunteers. Ladyfest Cincinnati focuses on musical and multi-media performan
ces, visual art, educational workshops, community building and empowerment. The festival seeks to encourage, support, inspire, and highlight the music+art made by women* of Cincinnati's independent music+art scene as well as showcase influential and inspiring musicians and artists, both emerging and established. Like other Ladyfests around the globe, Ladyfest Cincinnati is volunteer-based with all proceeds benefiting charity. Men are welcome to attend Ladyfest events and join in the process of curating the festival. Submissions from men and women work together will be considered, however projects which feature women in the dominant role are preferred. Ladyfest Cincinnati will feature and support music, art, film, performance, writing, craft and design made by women on the local, regional, and national levels.
