Yesterday, we announced the start of a new show we’re producing for PBS (CET Public Television + ThinkTV Network locally). We’re thrilled for this chance to get more eyes on the diverse stories that make up our region.

Long Story Short’s first season will be 6 half hour episodes, based around themes we all can relate to, involving people from different walks of life.

Be sure to tune in to CET or ThinkTV on April 2nd at 9pm for the premiere of Long Story Short!

Over the last two years, we've been in talks with PBS (CET+ThinkTV) to produce a new program for their airwaves and we're excited to finally announce that it is officially happening! The first season of our new show, Long Story Short, will begin airing on Friday, April 2nd, at 9PM on CET and ThinkTV.

We'll continue to share details as the show gets closer to airing. Here's a clip from the first episode with other clips coming soon.

Long Story Short is produced by Cincy Stories in conjunction with the teams at CET and ThinkTV, and is continuing our mission of building community through story by getting the opportunity of getting the stories we've been lucky enough to capture in front of the millions of folks in the Cincinnati and Dayton region who tune in to PBS every month.

We're also excited to announce that the host for this new show is actor/filmmaker/writer Darnell Pierre Benjamin. If you've been to any Cincinnati theatre in the last few years, it's almost guaranteed you've seen Darnell's work. He was our first pick for the role and is a perfect fit.

We've been quietly working on this over the pandemic. It's been unfortunate that we've been unable to hold events and be in person in the community, as we normally are, but we hope you'll tune in and see that the intentional focus we've been able to make on Long Story Short has been so important.

While the show will feature some of the award winning content we've produced over the years, we'll have a number of never before seen stories from both Cincinnati and Dayton. We can't wait to share them with you! Be sure to tell everyone you know about the show and tune in on April 2nd!

Although we couldn’t celebrate in person this year, it was a huge honor for us to take home four Emmy’s this year, including Overall Excellence. Thank you to the Academy and to all of you who support our work!
