This year to support CF I am doing something a little different. I'm a believer in the power of the community, and want to use my family and friends to support Emily's Entourage. Emily inspires people and she inspired me. She started small, recognized success and is racing like hell to scale because her life depends on it. Emily's Entourage is a model for action and change that I believe will transform research in and beyond the CF community.
Rather than asking for straight donations, I'm hoping to contribute to her Charity Buzz online auction (https://www.charitybuzz.com/support/EmilysEntourage) by collecting time and experiences from people I know for people to bid on - you don't have to be a bidder, only asking who you know that might be willing to donate their time to a "Meet & Greet" or make the donation of an event similar to the ones attached.
Check out the bidding happening on lunch with some of our friends like Roni or Susannah. It doesn't matter where you live or what you have to offer. These meetings with a recognized and respected members of the community have historically raised significant interest and funds from bidders and we would be grateful to have your support. You can set the parameters for the donation (ie specific dates or locations, coffee/lunch/dinner, time constraints, etc).
