Connecting Naturally

Connecting Naturally Connecting people to self, nature and each other. Connecting Naturally was started by Cara DiPuccio and Bob Staggenborg in August of 2011.

Cara and Bob met at a play facilitator workshop at Cincinnati Nature Center. That first meeting was the start of their first program called Nature Nannies. Cara brought tremendous passion and excitement from the beginning. Experiences from her own childhood allows her to understood the value of being outside and learning by connecting to the natural world. Bob ‘retired’ eleven years earlier and sp

ent much of that time connecting him and others to nature. Nature has inspired and motivated him to mentor and take an active role in the nature connection movement. It soon became apparent that the Nature Nanny program was just the beginning of a much greater vision. They formed Connecting Naturally to provide a container for that emerging vision. This is not your typical business or non-profit but a creative link to connect people to self, nature, and each other. Cara and Bob will provide many opportunities for connection in the future. From these opportunities will develop a resilient global community that is truly alive and connected.

It can take more than just a keen ear to figure out what animals are saying. Sometimes, scientists are learning, you have to talk back to map the rich networks of conversation in a forest.

Way cool!

Just finished an awesome weekend workshop at Cincinnati Nature Center on bird language. We will be doing another workshop on bird language with CNC on April 20-21.

08/22/2012

Connecting Naturally is co-sponsoring a bird language weekend with Cincinnati Nature Center. The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, September 29 from 8am to 4pm and Sunday, September 30 8am to 12 noon. We will use techniques learned in a training seminar last February with Jon Young. Bill Creasey, chief naturalist at CNC and a great birder, will be leading this workshop.
Whether you are new to birding or an experienced bird watcher this course will introduce you to routines to delve deeper into understanding how bird language helps you interpret the patterns of nature. For a more detailed explanation check out birdlanguage.com.

Within a day and a half, this workshop will help you see and hear what is happening in the natural world around you through birds. No need to know any bird calls as we help you sort out the differences between: song, contact calls, begging, aggression, and alarm.

Too many humans, however, live their lives without the knowing of where they belong or what they have to give to the world. If they know, they don't know how to give it, or if it will be...
