The Dragonfly Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit, centered in Cincinnati, Ohio, dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families. The Foundation was co-founded by Christine Neitzke and a friend after Christine’s son, Matt, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2009. Christine and her husband, Jim, witnessed, firsthand, the challenges families encounter after a pediatric cancer

diagnosis and decided to do something about it. Together, they formed The Dragonfly Foundation which is located in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Avondale and near our partner, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. We have served thousands of pediatric cancer patients and their families since our founding in 2010.

Dolly Parton will be deeply missed by us and many around the world. She understood the power of strength, courage, and JOY. Her ability to bring light to others is an inspiration to us and to everyone who looks out for their neighbors.

We’re grateful for the joy she shared with the world and the reminder she leaves us: sometimes, a little kindness can mean everything.

💛 Dolly, we will always love you and we will keep bringing joy to children in your honor.

🎒 Back-to-School looks different for every Dragonfly.

Meet Sammy!
This year, Sammy is starting her freshman year of high school. Like many students starting something new, she’s feeling a little nervous, but her family knows just how strong and courageous she is.

Sammy was in third grade when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. During her treatment, the online school created because of COVID became an unexpected blessing for her family, allowing Sammy to continue her education and stay caught up with her classmates.
Now, she's beginning a brand-new chapter.

Her mom shared:
“We love to be a part of the Dragonfly family. She is nervous to begin high school, but we know she will do great. She is strong and brave.”

We are so proud to celebrate this milestone with Sammy and her family and are so grateful they have allowed us to be part of their journey.

Here's to freshman year, new beginnings, and nearly FIVE years cancer-free!
We can't wait to see all that you accomplish, Sammy!

We are thinking about all our Dragonflies during this season. Thank you to everyone who has shared their back-to-school experiences with us! If you would like to share see our most recent post in the Facebook group.

We’re so grateful to the Best Day Ever Foundation for welcoming our Legacy Circle families to their 5th Annual Camping Retreat at Jellystone Park!

For families navigating grief, opportunities to spend time together and honor the people they love can mean so much. This weekend gave our families space to remember, connect, and celebrate the lives and legacies of those they carry in their hearts. We’re honored to walk alongside our Legacy Circle families and grateful to partners like Best Day Ever Foundation for creating meaningful experiences where grief and joy can exist together.

"Love that we were all able to experience something new together." 💛
Moments like these are what Dragonfly is all about—giving children and families facing pediatric cancer the opportunity to step away from the hospital, make memories together, and simply enjoy being a family.
Thank you to our generous partners and supporters for making experiences like Dude Perfect possible.
You can help create more moments like this. The Elsa Sule Foundation has issued a Dragonfly Suite Sponsorship Challenge to help fund another year of unforgettable family experiences.
