We’re so grateful to Mason High School and the students of The Comet Zone for choosing The Dragonfly Foundation as the beneficiary of their 2026 Homecoming fundraiser!

The Comet Zone team designed and sold this year’s Homecoming shirts featuring the Dragonfly Foundation to help raise awareness throughout the Mason community.

Help Us Wrap Up the Season with Joy!

As we prepare for our Adopt-a-Family program this winter, we’re collecting holiday-neutral wrapping paper and wrapping supplies to help make the season extra special for our Dragonfly families!

We welcome donations of wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, ribbon, bows, tape, and other wrapping essentials.

We’d love to have all donations in by December 3, before wrapping begins! Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions or to arrange drop-offs!

A little encouragement can go a long way.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re shining a light on the importance of supporting the emotional well-being of children and families facing serious medical challenges.

Last week, our team delivered Dragonfly Encouragement Bags to the Child Life team at Cincinnati Children’s, filled with small reminders of hope, comfort, and encouragement for children spending time in the hospital.

For a child navigating treatment, a simple gift can be more than just an item—it can be a reminder that someone is thinking of them, cheering them on, and walking alongside them.

This World Mental Health Day, let’s remember that mental health is part of the whole journey of healing. Every smile, every moment of connection, and every reminder that you’re not alone matters.

September was all about celebrating our Dragonfly families and the moments of joy that make a difference.

As we continue highlighting some of the special moments from Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re looking back on a night to remember—the WEBN Fireworks!

A huge THANK YOU to James Pessler for gifting 50 seats to the Dragonfly Foundation. Families enjoyed a VIP evening at Newport Aquarium’s Riverside Room, complete with dinner, penguin and red-tailed boa encounters, full aquarium access, and front-row views of the Ohio River from a private terrace.

For families navigating cancer treatment and bone marrow transplants, crowded events and long days aren’t always easy. This experience gave our families a comfortable space to relax, have fun, and enjoy an evening together while watching the sky light up over Cincinnati.

Creating moments of joy, connection, and normalcy during difficult times is what Dragonfly is all about.

James, thank you for making this evening so special for our families! We’re incredibly grateful.

This week, we got to spread a little extra JOY for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

Our Dragonfly Joy Cart made its way through the halls of Cincinnati Children's, bringing smiles, sweet treats, and a little fun to the dedicated staff who care for our Dragonflies every day.

We loved getting to brighten a few days and share some of the strength, courage, and joy that makes our Dragonfly community so special.

A heartfelt thank you to Wise Temple for spending their Service Day on Yom Kippur packing Encouragement Bags for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Each bag includes a handwritten note and thoughtful goodies that will go directly to families at Cincinnati Children’s — reminding them that they are not alone, they are cared for, and their community is thinking of them.

Thank you, Wise Temple, for creating a little moment of comfort and joy for Dragonfly families when they need it most.

For the last day of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we will be highlighting a few of our Dragonflies and their stories today!

Matthew’s cancer journey included surgery to remove his right kidney and a two-pound Wilms tumor, followed by 19 weeks of chemotherapy. Just before his second birthday, he rang the bell to celebrate the end of treatment!

Throughout his journey, Dragonfly has helped Matthew and his family find moments of joy and normalcy – from thoughtful hospital care packages to activities that let Matthew simply be a kid.

“The activities have allowed Matthew to be a kid, and has allowed our family to live outside of the diagnosis.”

Dragonfly has also given their family an incredible support system and friends who understand exactly what they’re going through.

“We love being part of something as amazing as the Dragonfly Family.”
