What an incredible day for Rotary fellowship, learning, and community impact!
On June 11, members of The Rotary Club of Cincinnati gathered across Greater Cincinnati for our annual Rotarians @ Work Day—a unique tradition that takes Rotary beyond our regular meeting space and into the workplaces and organizations that are making a difference in our community every day.
This year, Club 17 members split into smaller groups and enjoyed lunch, fellowship, and behind-the-scenes tours at five outstanding member-hosted locations:
📍 Building Value
📍 WeatherPod
📍 Cincinnati Works
📍 Ken Anderson Alliance
📍 Girl Scouts of Western Ohio

Each location provided an opportunity to learn more about the important work being done throughout our region while strengthening the relationships that make Rotary so impactful. From workforce development and innovative manufacturing to empowering individuals with disabilities and developing future leaders, our members experienced firsthand how local organizations are creating positive change.

A special thank you to our hosts for opening their doors and sharing their missions with us. Rotarians @ Work Day continues to be a favorite annual tradition because it reminds us that service, leadership, and community engagement happen every day across Greater Cincinnati.

🎈🎤 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE FIELD! 🎤🎈
To kick off the 31st season of providing hot air balloon rides at
Camp Allyn for Stepping Stones Inc. Campers, we've dispatched our very own Special Correspondent, Ed Mathis , to cover the action.

After undergoing intensive training in balloon inflation, field reporting, and overcoming gravity-related concerns, Ed filed the following exclusive report from Camp Allyn. While Rotary cannot officially confirm whether he volunteered for the balloon ride or was gently encouraged by campers, we can confirm he returned safely and with a smile.

Here's Ed's firsthand account of an unforgettable evening:

"Last night we kicked off another season of Camp Allyn Balloon Rides in partnership with Stepping Stones, and what a special evening it was.
A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Cincinnati Foundation for its incredible stewardship of Camp Allyn and the campgrounds that make moments like this possible for so many families each year.
Thank you to Tammy Young for the great photos, Mark Soupene and Steve Rosenzweig for patiently teaching me how to help set up a hot air balloon, and Chris Adams for his outstanding leadership at Stepping Stones and all they do to serve our community.
The highlight of the night was seeing the smiles on the campers’ faces as they experienced something many will never forget.
And yes, for those wondering, I’m not exactly used to being lifted up into the air, but I couldn’t let the campers show me up! 😄🎈
Service Above Self in action."
