Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and selflessness have secured the freedoms we hold dear as citizens and as workers.

As the Director of the Women’s Department, I want to take a special moment to recognize the women who served in uniform and never returned home, as well as the families, the mothers, sisters, and daughters who carry the heavy legacy of their loss.

Memorial Day is a reminder that our community is built on the service of others. As we enjoy this day with our loved ones, let us hold the memory of our fallen heroes in our hearts and recommit ourselves to building a world worthy of their sacrifice.
