We are Puerto Rican and friends living the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Lets help puerto Rico to rise again and be stronger!

We are a group of Puerto Ricans and friends living in different parts of the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Regardless, Puerto Rico is our home. We created this campaign that evolved into a non-profit organization: 'Cincinnati for PR' to help PR rise from the damages that hurricane Irma and Maria have left on the island. A lot of us cannot travel to PR to help, so we are going to m

ake every effort to gather all that we can, and send it! However, we cant do this alone, WE NEEED YOUR HELP! We are working with organizations based in Puerto Rico to ensure help gets delivered where its needed right away! In Cincinnati, Ohio, we are working in setting up larger events to make things happen quickly. Phase #1 consisted on collecting donated goods and organizing them to get them ready to send them to Puerto Rico. Phase #2 consists of creating a committee and as a community planning events to fund-raise money to enable the long term recovery efforts that the island will be going through with volunteering trips, house rebuilding, and much more. If, as we are confident, Cincinnati for PR receives Section 501(c)(3) status, your contribution to Cincinnati for PR will, subject to applicable legal restrictions, be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. Until the IRS recognizes Cincinnati for PR’s Section 501(c)(3) status, however, we cannot guarantee your contribution will be a tax-deductible charitable contribution.

Who are we?

Cincinnati for Puerto Rico is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization founded by Anamar Naish and Adrianna Lebron, two native Puerto Ricans in the Cincinnati area with a common goal: help rebuild Puerto Rico. They founded 'Cincinnati for PR' to help PR rise from the damages that hurricane Irma and Maria left on the island by bringing the Tri-State community together for a common goal. Many residents of the Tri-State area, Puerto Rican or not, all pitched in different efforts as not everybody could travel to PR to help. We became the bridge between our island and the community in the Tri-State area.

How it all started…

Cincy for PR started as a grassroots movement at a local brewery in Cincinnati where close to 100 persons showed up with one same goal: HELP PUERTO RICO! Less than a week after Maria had hit the island, Cincinnati for PR was by two then-strangers: Anamar & Adrianna, which both connected by the love for the island and their calling to take action.

Phases:

Donation Centers

Managed to set-up over 20 satellite drop off locations throughout the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area to collect goods to ship to PR. Gathered over 140 pallets totaling to around 122,000 lbs of goods to be sent to PR to the neediest parts of the island by partnering with Global Empowerment Mission and #BeStrong organizations to send and distribute the goods in PR.

Hospital Supplies Donations

Partnered with several hospital entities and chartered a private cargo plane with over 25 pallets of medical supplies worth over $100,000 delivered to San Jorge Children’s Hospital in Puerto Rico.

Rebuilding Puerto Rico & aiding other sectors in need

We have partnered with several organizations to continue to rebuild the island and support the recovery. Some of the activities we have sponsored and helped organized have been: Thanksgiving dinners in shelters in one of the most devastated areas; rebuilding of Fundacion A.M.A.R animal and community sanctuary; Three Kings Day Orphanage event; traveled to Puerto Rico and donated mattresses and platforms to a family of retired teachers; and worked with families to help getting them items of need.

Cincinnati for PR is focused on educating on ways to help, assisting people in need, and providing aid to those in need. This is going to be the longest phase in our mission, and THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN AND BRING ALL THE IDEAS!
