🦋 Grant Recipient Spotlight: Meet Kaysen 🦋

Today, we introduce one of our most recent grant recipients, Kaysen.

This sweet little guy, who is almost 6 months old, was born in January with Severe Combined Immune Deficiency (SCID). SCID is a rare genetic disorder that leaves babies with little to no functioning immune system, making even common illnesses potentially life-threatening. To protect him from infection, Kaysen had to remain in strict isolation from the day he was born until he received his bone marrow transplant this past April. We are so happy he is doing well!

When a child is hospitalized, parents shouldn't have to choose between being at their child's bedside and worrying about everyday financial burdens. We were honored to provide a grant to help ease just a small piece of that stress so Kaysen's family could focus on being together, which is what mattered most.

While our financial support may be a singular gift, our care for these families doesn't end there. Every child and family we have the privilege of helping becomes a permanent part of the Piper's Promise Foundation family. They remain in our hearts, our thoughts, and our prayers as we continue to hope for healing, renewed strength, and a bright, healthy future.

If there's one thing we ask of our incredible community, it's this: Please keep Kaysen, his family, and all of our Piper's Promise families in your thoughts. Your kindness, encouragement, and hope mean so much, and together we can continue surrounding these families with love long after their grant has been awarded.

Happy 13th Birthday, Piper. 💙

Today we celebrate the beautiful girl who inspired it all.

In her short time here, Piper showed more strength, courage, kindness, and selflessness than most people do in a lifetime. Even now, her legacy continues to touch lives through Piper’s Promise Foundation and the families we are able to support because of her story.

The impact she has made is immeasurable, and the love surrounding her has never faded. We know she would be so proud to see the difference being made in her name and the hope being given to other transplant families.

Thirteen years ago, the world became brighter because Piper was born. Today, we celebrate her, honor her, and remember that her light continues to shine through every life she inspires.

Happy Birthday, sweet Piper. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. 🦋🐆

While we’re sad to share that we did not advance to Round 3 of the Giving Bowl, we are still feeling incredibly grateful and proud of how far we came. 💙

A huge thank you to the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation for this amazing opportunity and for their generosity. Because we made it to Round 2, our foundation will be receiving a $10,000 donation alongside the additional funds raised. This will make a real impact for the families we serve.

We also want to extend our deepest thanks to Graham Barton of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for choosing our foundation to partner with throughout this experience. We are forever grateful for the chance to be part of something so meaningful.

And to every single person who liked, shared, commented, and donated, thank you. Because of your support, along with the generosity of the Mayfield Foundation, we raised enough funds to help many more families with children going through bone marrow transplants.

We are still a growing foundation with so much room ahead of us, and this experience helped us reach more people than ever before. That alone is something we will always be thankful for.
