🔥 THE IMPORTANCE OF LEADING HEALTHY
In different seasons of life and leadership, it is good to pause and evaluate where is your soul and heart.
One of the greatest dangers in leadership is becoming so busy pouring into others that you neglect the condition of your own soul.
You can’t be there for everyone, especially at the expense of yourself.
The truth is, leaders get wounded too! They experience rejection, betrayal, disappointment, grief, exhaustion, and silent battles. But because of the demands, responsibilities, and expectations placed upon their lives, they often keep going without taking time to heal.
They keep preaching, teaching, leading, serving, and pouring while silently bleeding.
Here is something we must understand: Your gift can mature while your soul remains wounded. Your knowledge can increase while your inner development remains incomplete.
You can be spiritually gifted, biblically knowledgeable, and highly anointed, yet still have areas of your soul that need healing, deliverance, discipline, and emotional maturity.
Just because you have matured in your calling doesn’t mean you have matured in your inner life!
Your gift may open doors that your inner development is not yet mature enough to sustain.
This is why SOUL WORK IS NECESSARY!
Soul work requires us to confront the things we have buried, examine our motives, acknowledge our wounds, take responsibility for our unhealthy patterns, and allow God to heal the places we have learned to hide.
Sometimes the greatest leadership development doesn’t happen behind a pulpit, in a classroom, or at a conference. It happens when you allow God to deal with YOU!
📖 3 John 1:2 (KJV)
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
God is not only concerned about the success of your assignment. He is concerned about the condition of the person carrying it!
Remember: Being gifted is not the same as being whole. Being anointed does not eliminate the need for healing. And being called does not excuse unhealthy behavior.
Take time to heal. Take time to reflect. Take time to rest. Seek wise counsel when needed. Let God develop your inner life at the same level He is developing your gift.
Because the goal is not just to LEAD GREAT — IT IS TO LEAD HEALTHY!
🔥 Don’t become so committed to building the ministry that you neglect allowing God to build the minister!
Healthy leaders build healthier people, healthier teams, and healthier ministries.
